About the role
Position Summary: The role of a Media Planner is to manage our media planning product through preparing and presenting media plans, proposals, and analysis. This role requires you to work as part of an integrated media planning team to ensure the product is grounded in insights and experience, resulting in flawless media executions.
Responsibilities: Prepare, write and present integrated media plans, proposals and analysis that satisfy client objectives and that go beyond the brief. Maintain the media plan and regularly evaluate the campaign performance. Prepare and present evaluations of media opportunities, media trends and issues of interest to clients. Build and maintain strong client relationships and respectful partner relationships by demonstrating your ability to be responsible, reliable, and resourceful. Initiate and coordinate the media buying process in order to deliver exceptional results. Oversee the administration and maintenance of the media plan. Responsible for accurate and timely client finance reports and budget control reports (BCRs). Ensure client budgets are managed and on track. Support the creation of campaign post reports. Source and evaluate proposals from media partners as required. Assist with document creation: presentations, visual summaries, schedules and reports. Prepare media Point Of Views (POVs) /evaluations. Remain up to date with latest updates from major media partners. Continue to proactively develop knowledge of the media landscape.
Qualifications: Professional or educational background in Marketing and/or Advertising would give leverage to this application. Entry – Associate level of experience with media planning. Experience within an integrated advertising agency an asset. Driven desire to develop and excel in a media career. Client service oriented. Curiosity, with a passion for continuous development. Understanding of media research tools (e.g. Clear Decisions, Vividata, Neilson), and media tools (e.g. Prisma) would give leverage to this application. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). Highly developed organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently. Proactive approach to problem solving, assisting the team, self-development, etc. Ability to develop and foster relationships with media partners. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Résumé du poste : Le rôle de planificateur média consiste à gérer notre produit de planification média en préparant et en présentant des plans médias, des propositions et des analyses. Assurer le suivi du plan média et évaluer régulièrement la performance des campagnes. Préparer et présenter des évaluations des opportunités médias, des tendances et des enjeux pertinents pour les clients. Établir et maintenir de solides relations avec les clients et des relations respectueuses avec les partenaires, en faisant preuve de responsabilité, de fiabilité et de débrouillardise. Initier et coordonner le processus d’achat média afin de livrer des résultats exceptionnels. Superviser l’administration et la mise à jour du plan média. Être responsable de l’exactitude et de la ponctualité des rapports financiers clients et des rapports de contrôle budgétaire (BCR). Veiller à la bonne gestion des budgets clients et à leur respect. Participer à la création des rapports post-campagne. Rechercher et évaluer des propositions de partenaires médias, au besoin. Aider à la création de documents : présentations, synthèses visuelles, calendriers et rapports. Préparer des points de vue (POV) et des évaluations médias. Se tenir à jour des dernières nouveautés des principaux partenaires médias. Développer de manière proactive sa connaissance de l’écosystème média.
Qualifications : Formation ou expérience professionnelle en marketing et/ou en publicité, un atout. Expérience de niveau débutant à associé en planification média. Expérience en agence de publicité intégrée, un atout. Forte motivation à se développer et à exceller dans une carrière en médias. Orientation client. Curiosité et volonté d’apprentissage continu. Bonne connaissance des outils de recherche média (ex. : Clear Decisions, Vividata, Nielsen) et des outils média (ex. : Prisma), un atout. Excellentes compétences en communication (écrites et orales). Solides compétences organisationnelles, avec un souci du détail et de la précision. Capacité à travailler en équipe ainsi que de manière autonome. Approche proactive en résolution de problèmes et dans le soutien à l’équipe et au développement personnel. Capacité à développer et entretenir des relations avec les partenaires médias. Maîtrise de la suite Microsoft Office (Word, Excel et PowerPoint).
