Role Description The Production Coordinator is a part-time role responsible for supporting the planning and execution of content and production projects at THE PLAYHOUSE. This position is based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada, with a combination of on-site work and remote tasks. Day-to-day duties include coordinating production schedules, tracking project timelines, organizing resources, and communicating with internal teams, freelancers, and vendors to ensure deliverables are met. The Production Coordinator will assist with confirming locations and talent as needed, preparing production plans, maintaining project documentation, and monitoring progress against deadlines and budgets. This role also involves troubleshooting logistical issues, ensuring production processes run smoothly, and contributing to continuous improvements in workflow and team coordination. Qualifications Strong communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated ability in production planning and production management to coordinate schedules, resources, and logistics. Project management and organization skills to manage multiple tasks, track deadlines, and maintain accurate documentation. Experience or strong interest in creative, media, or content production environments. Proficiency with common productivity and project management tools (e.g., spreadsheets, task trackers, calendar tools). Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid setting within the Greater Toronto Area. Attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in fast-paced production settings. Post-secondary education in film, media, communications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience, is an asset.
