Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Jobsite Superintendent to oversee and coordinate the construction of high-end residential homes throughout the Greater Montreal Area.
This role is hands-on, leadership-focused, and performance-driven. As the Jobsite Superintendent, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, coordinating trades, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring projects move efficiently from pre-construction through completion.
You will play a critical role in delivering homes that reflect HC Habitation's commitment to excellence, precision, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Construction Coordination
- Review plans and specifications to fully understand project scope.
- Define critical milestones, schedules, and site expectations.
- Prepare sites for efficient execution through proactive planning and communication.
- Identify potential project risks early and develop solutions proactively.
Construction Management
- Collaborate closely with the Project Coordinator to meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Coordinate and supervise trade partners according to construction schedules.
- Ensure all trades clearly understand and respect their scope of work.
- Monitor project quality and enforce high construction standards throughout all phases.
- Anticipate challenges and solve problems before they impact progress.
- Maintain organized and accurate site documentation.
After-Sales Service
- Deliver professional and responsive after-sales support.
- Handle post-construction service calls with professionalism and efficiency.
- Ensure deficiencies and warranty-related items are resolved promptly.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of residential construction experience with strong knowledge of the home-building process.
- Ability to oversee all phases of residential construction, including occasional hands-on tasks when required.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time-management and leadership abilities.
- Professional communication skills in both French and English.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and consultant drawings.
- Strong understanding of Quebec building codes and residential construction requirements.
- Adaptable, motivated, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Valid driver's license and required security cards.
Performance Expectations
- Manage a minimum of 7-10 residential construction sites simultaneously.
- Maintain project timelines, quality standards, and site organization.
- Deliver measurable performance through efficiency, leadership, and execution.
- Contribute positively to company culture and team collaboration.
Work Environment
- Site-based role with limited scheduling flexibility based on project needs.
- Standard working schedule: Monday to Friday.
