Your impact
As a Wastewater Process Engineer in our Burnaby office, you’ll play a key role in delivering impactful water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Western Canada. You’ll join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team focused on sustainable solutions that improve the quality of life in communities. You will support the planning, design, and delivery of municipal and industrial wastewater treatment projects. You’ll bring your strong process engineering expertise and project execution skills to help deliver high-quality, innovative, and cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities Will Include
Lead and support the process design of wastewater treatment facilities, including preliminary and detailed design phases Perform process modeling, mass balances, and hydraulic calculations for treatment systems Develop technical reports, specifications, and design documentation Participate in pilot testing, process optimization, and troubleshooting activities Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation engineers Support proposal development, including technical approach and scope definition Provide mentorship and guidance to intermediate and junior engineers Support or lead project delivery for wastewater projects of moderate complexity Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables Coordinate with internal teams, subconsultants, and clients to ensure alignment on project objectives Monitor project progress and proactively manage risks and changes Contribute to client relationship management through effective communication and technical leadership
Here's what you'll need
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Environmental, or Civil Engineering (Master’s degree considered an asset) 10–12 years of relevant wastewater process engineering experience Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in British Columbia or eligibility to obtain Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes Experience with process modeling tools (BioWin..) Demonstrated experience supporting or contributing to project management activities, including coordination of multidisciplinary teams, schedule and budget tracking, and client communication Ability to support delivery of projects through various phases, with an understanding of scope, risk, and change management principles Strong communication, stakeholder coordination, and technical writing skills
Ideally, You’ll Also Have
Experience working on municipal infrastructure projects in Western Canada Previous consulting engineering experience Proven ability to manage client relationships and contribute to business development Familiarity with BC regulatory requirements and guidelines

The base salary range for this position is $73,000.00 to $115,000.00. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across Ontario, Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
