Position Overview We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing Special Projects Group (SPG). Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of multiple mechanical construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role oversees project planning, client relationships, financial performance, scheduling, procurement, and team leadership while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, relationship builder, and problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing a diverse portfolio of service, retrofit, tenant improvement, and special project work.

Key Responsibilities Manage multiple projects simultaneously from pre-construction through warranty and project closeout. Participate in estimating, budgeting, design-assist, design-build, and pre-construction activities. Review contract documents and ensure project requirements, scope, budgets, and schedules are clearly understood and executed. Lead project planning, scheduling, forecasting, and resource allocation activities. Monitor project financial performance, including billings, cost tracking, forecasting, change orders, and profitability. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project teams throughout the project lifecycle. Procure materials, equipment, subcontractors, and specialty services required for project execution. Collaborate closely with Foremen, Superintendents, Project Coordinators, and field teams to ensure successful project delivery. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify risks, and support field operations. Ensure projects are delivered in compliance with company safety standards, quality expectations, and contractual obligations. Support commissioning, turnover, warranty activities, and client training requirements. Mentor and support Project Coordinators and other project team members. Contribute to process improvements, operational excellence, and the continued growth of the Special Projects Group. Represent True Mechanical professionally within the industry and participate in client, networking, and business development opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience 5+ years of project management experience within mechanical contracting, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, or commercial construction. Proven experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously. Strong understanding of project financial management, forecasting, budgeting, and change management. Experience with design-build, design-assist, tenant improvement, retrofit, and service-related projects is considered a strong asset. Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Proficiency with project management and construction software platforms. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites throughout the Lower Mainland.
