Elevation Technical Services Ltd. is expanding its Bridge Engineering Team and is looking for Bridge Engineers and Design Technologists as we take on several new projects across British Columbia. The ideal candidate for our Bridge Engineer position will have a minimum of seven (7) years experience. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated expertise in bridge and structural design, along with a track record of successfully contributing to bridge and structural design projects for BC MOTT. Some experience in bridge inspection and construction would be a considerable attribute. Additional relevant training, education, and professional certifications will also be considered strong assets.

Does your resume include: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university; a post-graduate degree in Structural Engineering is an asset, Registered, or eligible to register, as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with EGBC, Seven+ years of relevant progressive experience in bridge engineering, with a minimum four years’ experience in bridge and structural analysis and design, including concrete, steel and/or timber structures, Proficiency in the use of structural analysis software (e.g.: CSiBridge, MIDAS, etc.), Conversant with the use of bridge design codes such as CHBDC and AASHTO, Familiarity in the use of engineering and drafting software such as Excel, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam Revu and Adobe Pro to efficiently produce engineering calculations and coordinating engineering documents, Strong verbal and written communication skills, Notable planning and organizational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a multi-disciplined team.

Your key to success in this role will be your ability to effectively contribute to and manage project delivery, including quality, coordination, schedule, and cost control, while contributing to the execution of bridge and structural engineering work. Your regular day on the job will include: preparing technical designs for a variety of bridge and structural repair, rehabilitation, and replacement projects in accordance with applicable design codes and client standards, preparing tender documents and cost estimates for various structural projects, collaborating with multi-disciplined design teams, comprised of engineers, designers, project coordinators, and others, to develop engineering design solutions and related documents, preparing engineering reports and other technical documents, assisting in preparing work plans, schedules, and budgets for new projects, preparing project quality management plans and project execution plans for specific structural projects, conducting field reviews, site visits and bridge inspections as required, and performing other responsibilities as required to assist in business development, preparing proposals
