We’re on the hunt for a Programme AIT Manager – Electronic Products on our Satellite systems team at our Montreal office.

Role:

Represents their unit to the client. In this capacity, they act as the point of contact.

Reviews requests from the departments responsible for program management, product development and production line management. They then allocate and organize the necessary resources to manage the AIT (assembly, integration and testing) phase of a program.

Must be able to negotiate and provide feedback to program managers or the external client, whether regarding products, resources, funding or methods.

Prepares an analysis of product metrics and then communicates their observations to the line AIT manager. Works collaboratively to develop a plan. Acts as a consultant, providing technical advice and guidance.

Communicates the client’s schedules and checks feasibility with the AIT line manager.

Carries out frequent and regular assessments of costs to date and estimates to completion, and develops alternative plans as necessary to meet cost and schedule targets.

Attends product launch and design meetings and ensures that production line specifications are adhered to. In other words, the manager must ensure that proposed designs are compatible with existing equipment wherever possible.

Must be able to make decisions and, where necessary, take a stance based on supporting data, in the best interests of the company.

Ensures the AIT’s visibility within the management team through regular meetings and presentations on technical and contractual matters, and by reviewing progress made.
Specific to electronic products:

Define performance indicators and plan the sequence for implementing improvements.

Maintain regular contact with AIT line managers

Leverage technical expertise in electronics wherever possible
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in microelectronics, electrical engineering or a related field
- At least 7 years of experience in program/project management or project engineering for electronic products
- At least 7 years of experience in microelectronics or micromanufacturing
- Knowledge of clean room environments
- Proven experience in negotiations, risk management, contract and subcontract management, financial oversight, and compliance with U.S. ITAR regulations
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in French and English (bilingualism required) (Interaction with clients outside Quebec and executives at the Ontario headquarters).

Special Considerations:
Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
