Position Title Front of House Manager Location Peak Cellars, Lake Country, BC Employment Type Full-Time, Permanent Reports Into General Manager

Overview Peak Cellars is located on a 7-acre property in Lake Country, and is home to our Goldie Road Vineyard. Wine isn't the only thing the property produces; the half-acre organic vegetable garden and two greenhouses supply the highest quality fruits and vegetables for the Garden Bistro. We are looking for a Front of House Manager to join our incredible team of wine and food lovers.

Scope Oversee day-to-day consumer-facing operations of our Garden Bistro. Create a positive and sustainable environment that team members enjoy working in and guests enjoy experiencing.

Responsibilities • Reporting to the General Manager, the Front of House Manager will oversee day-to-day front of house operations of the Garden Bistro and Tasting Room. • Regularly review hospitality programming and look for ways to improve the overall guest experience, long-term engagement, and referrals to maximize restaurant and tasting room sales revenue. • Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate the hospitality team to deliver industry-leading hospitality activities to achieve Peak Cellars key DTC objectives and metrics, including wine club enrollments and sales metrics. • Performance manage the team. • Create and sustain a welcoming and professional environment, ensuring that facilities are properly maintained and appealing to guests. • Manage the hospitality team on a day-to-day basis, ensuring winery hospitality standards are met for an outstanding guest experience. • Provide consistent brand messaging to guests and team. • Ensure guest experience satisfaction, including responding to guest reviews and complaints. • Develop and communicate standard operating procedures for excellence in the industry. • Oversee event planning in conjunction with the events team, coordination and execution, including communicating plans and timelines to all departmental teams. • Work with the Executive Chef and culinary team to coordinate menus, features, and special events. • Manage hospitality inventory on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis in coordination with the Finance department. • Oversee scheduling according to forecasted sales and labour targets. • Update the Point of Sale system, including floor plans, inventory, pricing, user setup, and training. • Ensure controls are followed for cash-out procedures, gift cards, discounts, timesheet compliance, and other forms of controls. • Liaise with service providers and suppliers and build relationships and strategic partnerships for the business. • Comply with health and legal regulations to promote a safe workplace for all.

Requirements • Minimum 5 years restaurant experience. • Winery experience. • Serving It Right certification. • WHMIS certification. • Holds or is willing to work towards holding a First Aid, Level 1 certification. • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. • WSET Level 2 or higher preferred; willing to train strong candidates. • Demonstrated experience and skill providing outstanding hospitality with attention to detail. • A proven communicator who excels at entertaining and educating groups of guests. • Experience using restaurant and winery POS / reservation systems is an asset. • Demonstrated excellent verbal, interpersonal, and customer service skills. • Proven ability to effectively communicate with diverse client groups of varying sizes. • Able to stand and/or walk for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Compensation & Perks • $75,000 - $85,000 • Medical and dental benefits. • Discounts on wine purchases, food, and merchandise. • Tips and gratuities.
