We help organizations translate emerging AI capabilities into practical strategies, scalable operating models, well-designed products and measurable business outcomes. About This Recruitment Campaign This is a general recruitment campaign to build Ally Strategic Advisory’s network of senior AI, technology and transformation professionals. It does not advertise a specific position or an existing vacancy. Ally Strategic Advisory is developing a qualified consultant network in anticipation of potential future engagements with Canadian banks and other regulated financial institutions. Any future opportunity will be subject to Ally Strategic Advisory securing the applicable client engagement, the requirements of that engagement, candidate availability and any required client-selection process. Joining our consultant network does not guarantee submission to a client, an interview, employment or a consulting assignment. Who We Are Looking For We are interested in experienced professionals at the Director, Senior Director, Principal, Head-of-Function or comparable consulting level. Candidates may align with one or more of the following consulting streams.
- AI Strategy, Portfolio and Transformation Potential future responsibilities may include: Developing enterprise or business-unit AI strategies, roadmaps and investment priorities Identifying and prioritizing high-value AI opportunities Translating strategic priorities into structured programs, milestones and measurable outcomes Establishing portfolio governance, executive reporting and operating cadences Developing business cases and value-realization frameworks for AI investments Supporting senior executives with investment and prioritization decisions Coordinating initiatives across business, technology, finance, risk, legal and compliance teams Preparing executive, committee and board-level materials Supporting organizational adoption and change-management activities Relevant candidates will typically have experience in strategy, management consulting, enterprise transformation, portfolio management, financial governance or AI enablement.
- AI Product Strategy and Management Potential future responsibilities may include: Identifying business problems where AI can create meaningful operational, financial, employee or client value Developing AI product strategies, roadmaps and prioritized backlogs Understanding end-user workflows and designing solutions that integrate effectively into them Translating business requirements into clear product and technical requirements Working with engineering, data science, design and business teams throughout the product lifecycle Defining product, adoption, risk and value-realization metrics Leading pilots, experimentation and test-and-learn programs Making evidence-based decisions about scaling, improving or retiring solutions Communicating technical opportunities and limitations in clear business language Relevant candidates will typically have experience launching enterprise technology or AI-enabled products and working across business and technical teams.
- AI Platform and Engineering Delivery Potential future responsibilities may include: Leading multiple software-development, quality-assurance and technical-delivery teams Managing the end-to-end delivery of enterprise AI platforms and related products Overseeing solutions involving generative AI, large language models, AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation and enterprise integrations Establishing engineering, testing, release and quality standards Managing intake, prioritization, dependencies and scope changes Coordinating incident response and defect resolution with DevOps, cybersecurity and infrastructure teams Managing internal teams, technology vendors and delivery partners Ensuring solutions meet enterprise expectations for security, reliability, scalability and performance Translating business use cases into technically achievable delivery plans Relevant candidates will typically have significant experience leading software-development and quality-assurance teams in complex enterprise environments.
- Risk, Credit and Operating Transformation Potential future responsibilities may include: Leading strategic initiatives within consumer credit, retail risk or related banking functions Strengthening governance, operating effectiveness and execution discipline Establishing performance dashboards, reporting frameworks and decision forums Managing cross-functional initiatives involving credit risk, collections, finance, analytics and business teams Supporting the adoption of AI, data and automation within risk-management processes Applying sound risk judgment within regulated environments Connecting transformation initiatives to measurable business and portfolio outcomes Leading process improvement, operating-model and change initiatives Relevant candidates will typically have experience in consumer lending, retail credit risk, portfolio management, collections, model governance or banking operations. General Qualifications Depending on the consulting stream, candidates will typically bring: Eight or more years of relevant experience in strategy, consulting, transformation, product management, software delivery, financial services or technology Experience delivering complex initiatives within a large or highly regulated organization Demonstrated ability to translate strategy and planning into execution Strong executive communication and stakeholder-management capabilities Experience influencing stakeholders without relying solely on formal authority The ability to bring structure, clarity and prioritization to ambiguous environments Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving judgment Experience working across business, technology and control functions A record of delivering measurable business, client, operational, technology or risk outcomes Additional Experience of Interest The following experience may be valuable for future engagements: Banking, wealth management, insurance, fintech or another regulated industry AI governance, responsible AI, model risk or technology-risk frameworks Microsoft Azure and enterprise cloud environments Generative AI, LLM applications, retrieval-augmented generation, AI agents or workflow automation Management consulting, internal strategy or enterprise transformation Process improvement, operating-model design or change management An MBA, master’s degree or relevant technical qualification Experience within Canadian financial services may be helpful for some future engagements but is not required. Candidates with relevant experience from other countries, regulated markets or comparable institutions are encouraged to apply. Potential Engagement Details The details of each future engagement will be communicated to suitable candidates before they are asked whether they wish to be considered. Depending on the engagement, details may include: Organization: Ally Strategic Advisory Client sector: Banking, financial services or another regulated industry Location: Primarily Toronto, with remote, hybrid and client-site requirements varying by engagement Engagement structure: Employment or contract engagement through Ally Strategic Advisory, depending on the assignment Duration: Determined by the specific client engagement Start date: Based on contract award, client requirements and candidate availability Indicative compensation: Approximately $100–$175 per hour, depending on seniority, specialization, engagement structure and client requirements The specific compensation range and engagement terms will be confirmed before a candidate agrees to be considered for an opportunity Work authorization: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada for the duration and structure of the applicable engagement Ally Strategic Advisory will not present a candidate’s profile to a prospective client without first informing the candidate of the specific opportunity and obtaining the candidate’s consent.
