Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Outdoors. Hot. Cold/refrigerated. Tasks: Direct planting of trees, gardens and lawns. Hire, supervise and schedule staff. Organize planting of trees, gardens and lawns. Schedule work. Plan and direct grounds maintenance. Organize and direct construction of decks and decorative or retaining walls. Plan, manage and supervise landscape construction work. Maintain work records and logs. Read blueprints and drawings. Repair and maintain equipment. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Equipment and machinery experience: Chain saw. Forklift. Front end loader. Pick-up truck. Small engine equipment. Sod cutter. Tractor. Tractor mower. Skidsteer. Area of work experience: Snow removal. Area of specialization: Grounds maintenance. Landscape construction. Security and safety: Basic security clearance. Criminal record check. Driver's validity licence check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence.
