About the role
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Associations and non profit organizations. Arts and culture. Festival. Tasks: Promote conference and meeting services or special events. Develop and monitor emergency security plans. Develop media strategies and public relations activities. Recruit, hire and supervise staff and/or volunteers. Develop sponsorship, partnership or fundraising programs. Solicit event donors. Co-ordinate and monitor conference and meeting activities and attend to related details. Co-ordinate set-ups, staging, seating, parking, communication systems and other details for special events. Plan and arrange for accommodation and transportation services. Supervision: 5-10 people. Computer and technology knowledge: Google Docs. Adobe Photoshop. Microsoft Publisher. MS Excel. MS Office.
