Job Description
CDM Smith currently has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager with previous experience managing Water and Wastewater projects to join our Western Canada group. In this position, you will be the main point of contact for the planning and design of water and wastewater treatment facilities, water and sewer systems, pipelines, pump stations, remediation sites, and solid waste facilities projects in British Columbia and assist with business development activities. Our water services have spanned the areas of design and construction administration of drinking water, wastewater, water resources, storm water, environmental, master planning studies and modeling.

As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM Smith's mission by:
Managing and serving as the Project Manager on major British Columbia water & wastewater projects. Providing technical guidance, leadership, and mentoring engineering staff to enhance our water services design capabilities. Being responsible for scope, schedule, budget development, monitoring and adherence for projects managed. Completing Quality Assurance/Quality Control of key deliverables. Assisting Client Service Leaders with technical marketing meeting clients in the Vancouver region. Participation in professional societies relevant to the industry. Building and maintaining positive working relationships with key decision makers in our clients’ organizations.
Skills & Abilities
Experience working with project management methodology including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, project management software and finance and accounting concepts and practices. Demonstrates good communications skills, both verbal and written. Possesses in-depth knowledge of project goals, drivers, strategies, risks and opportunities. Work requires verbal skills, ability to interact with varying levels of staff, as well as vendors. Good interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with team members and clients. Ability to deal with many people and process a large volume of requests as necessary. Good personal computer skills including advanced knowledge in the use of MS Word and Excel. Demonstrates organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree. 7 years of related experience. PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification is required (within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list). Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications
P.Eng certification Experience creating and signing off on engineering designs of basic to high complexity for water and wastewater treatment facilities, water and sewer systems, pipelines, pump stations, remediation sites, and solid waste facilities Project experience working with Metro Vancouver as a client

Additional Compensation
All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
Pay Range Min
USD $124,072.00
Pay Range Max
USD $217,110.00
