What You’ll Do Lead the electrical discipline on projects of varying size and complexity. Direct and coordinate all electrical design activities from concept through construction. Create and compile construction work package documentation. Specify, design, and coordinate vendor packages for Motor Control Centre (MCC) systems for oil and gas industrial installations. Oversee preparation of electrical deliverables including schematics, single line diagrams, schedules, calculations, bills of materials, and electrical heat tracing drawings. Define project scope and prepare proposals for client submission. Ensure all electrical designs comply with applicable municipal, provincial, federal, industry codes, and client standards. Allocate and manage engineering resources to meet approved budgets and schedules. Coordinate closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure alignment of scope and design details. Direct designers and draftspersons using 3D design tools including AutoCAD. Provide day-to-day leadership of assigned team members. Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge across the organization and with clients.
What You Bring Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Polytechnic Diploma from an accredited institution. Credentials: Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with APEGA and eligible to stamp as Engineer of Record. Experience: 10+ years of electrical engineering experience within an industrial consulting engineering environment (oil & gas preferred). Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of MCC systems, industrial power distribution, electrical heat tracing, and construction documentation. Software: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and 2D/3D design tools including AutoCAD. Communication: Strong English verbal and written communication skills. Eligibility: Legally entitled to work in Canada (citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit).
