Role Overview We are looking for a multi-faceted individual to drive and execute digital marketing services for our conference projects. As a Marketing Manager, you will play a crucial role in executing marketing strategies that drive the success of our conferences. Key Tasks & Duties · Marketing Strategy: Develop marketing plans for upcoming conferences, defining goals, target audiences, messaging, and tactics. · Digital Marketing: Execute marketing strategy and campaigns across social media, paid ads, and email newsletters. Create content that drives engagement. · Communication: Ensure clear communication with internal teams, clients, and partners throughout the marketing process. · Website & Content Management: Create, launch, update and maintain conference websites using WordPress and Elementor. Work with the design team to create engaging UI/UX. · Content Review: Proofread marketing materials for accuracy and consistency. · Client & Designer Support: Act as a liaison between clients and designers to ensure materials align with conference goals. Advise clients and stakeholders throughout the conference lifespan. · Campaign Tracking: Monitor performance using Google Analytics and social media insights, providing regular reports and recommendations. Education, Experience & Skills Required · A post-secondary degree/Diploma. · 5+ years related work experience in digital marketing, advertising and/or communications. · Excellent English language/grammar skills, written & oral. · Strong understanding of marketing fundamentals. · Copy, design, branding & targeting markets. · Sales/Click funnels strategy for websites, emails and other design pieces. · Strong attention to detail. · Proven problem solving. · Communication & organizational skills. · Comfortable with managing multiple projects at the same time. Technical Requirements & Software Required · Strong working knowledge of Social Media Platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube) – organic and paid advertising · Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). · Proven experience with Content Management Systems (WordPress). · Have strong working knowledge with the following digital marketing activities: o Google Analytics. o Google Ads/PPC, Bing Ads / SEM. o Social Media Marketing / Advertising. o Social media content creation and planning. o Retargeting (Adroll, Google, etc.). o Email Marketing. o Search Engine Optimization. o Effective and impactful content. o WordPress knowledge – particularly Elementor Page Builder o Canva (working from templates)
Additional Skills - preferred but not required: · Familiar with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & Illustrator) – basic knowledge · Project management tool — Wrike.com. · Interest in medical, educational, and scientific fields. · Working knowledge of AI software (including ChatGPT, GetMinds, ChatBots, etc.) · Budget management Note: Travel to in-person conferences, both domestic and international may be required You must also have a willingness to learn new software systems as required.
