About the role:

IAMGOLD is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Project Geologist to lead and execute exploration programs across assigned project areas and remote exploration sites. This role plays a critical part in growing the Company's resources base through discovery and extension of known gold resources, while also identifying exploration opportunities that support IAMGOLD's long-term growth strategy.

Working closely with multidisciplinary field teams and exploration leadership, the Senior Project Geologist will plan, supervise, and actively participate in exploration programs, ensuring high-quality geological data, safe field execution, and strong team performance. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership oversight, requiring a strong presence in the field and close collaboration with geological staff, contractors, and local stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Project Geologist will be responsible for recommending and implementing approved exploration programs, including mapping, sampling, drilling, geophysics, and data compilation. The role also supports acquisition assessments through property evaluations, field visits, regional compilations, and technical recommendations to exploration management. Quality control, regulatory compliance, budget management, and adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards are central to success in this position.

Qualifications

• Ability to work effectively in remote and challenging field environments

Relevant Education &Experience:

• University degree in Geology (or higher) and professional registration
• Minimum 8 years' exploration experience, including gold exploration and project management

This role is based in Sudbury, with the majority of time spent at site and occasional office-based work.
