WCPG Construction Ltd is a rapidly expanding multi-family property development and construction company that is based out of Burnaby with projects throughout the Lower Mainland and across BC. We are currently looking for an Assistant Site Superintendent to work on a full-time salary paid basis for our project in Sechelt, B.C.

The Assistant Site Superintendent is responsible for providing supervision to construction workers, assisting with site paperwork, and performing tasks and responsibilities that are assigned to them by the Site Superintendent.

Role Details:

• Reports to the Site Superintendent
• Assists in providing direction and leadership to trades as directed by the Site Superintendent
• Ensure that safety protocols are being performed on the site per Worksafe BC and company standards
• Assist in providing safety orientation to new trades and workers on site
• Oversee the execution of work and tasks performed by trades on site
• Inspect work and ensure that it is performed per design specifications and drawings
• Assist in daily reporting as directed by the Site Superintendent
• Ensure that the site is clean, organized, and safe
• Work closely with the Site Superintendent to maintain positive relationships with site staff
• Available and willing to travel out of town for projects throughout BC

Skills & Abilities:

• Organized and takes initiative
• Work independently and with a team
• Able to perform physical work activities
• Basic carpentry and familiarity with power tools
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel etc)
• Strong communication
• First Aid certification (if not current, will be provided by employer)
• Ability to read drawings is an asset

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years construction experience
• Red seal Certified Journeyman Preferred

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
