Project Manager — Henley Contracting Ltd.

About the Role Henley Contracting is looking for a construction engineer to step into a Project Manager role and grow with us. If you have 5–10 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry — ideally in residential or home building — and a strong technical foundation from your engineering education, we want to connect with you. This isn't a role we're filling by posting and waiting. We're looking for a specific kind of person: someone who's probably already doing great work somewhere else, who values craft, accountability, and doing things right. If that's you, it's worth a conversation.

What You'll Be Doing

Leading residential construction and renovation projects from initiation through completion Managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and suppliers with precision Reviewing drawings, specs, and change orders with an engineer's eye for detail Coordinating inspections and ensuring work meets quality, safety, and building code standards Keeping stakeholders informed with clear, consistent documentation and communication Solving site problems and making decisions that keep projects moving

What We're Looking For

Engineering degree from a Canadian university (Western, McMaster, Waterloo, U of T, Queen's, or similar) 5–10 years of experience in construction, with residential or home building experience strongly preferred Proven ability to manage multiple trades and keep projects on schedule and on budget Strong communicator — comfortable on-site, in the office, and with clients Someone who takes ownership and doesn't need to be micromanaged
