About the role

1. Overview We are a Canada-based French language school originally founded in Montreal, with a growing team primarily based in Toronto and additional operations in Vancouver. We are seeking a Marketing Manager to lead our growth and brand presence in the Chinese student market, with future opportunities to support broader international market expansion. The ideal candidate understands Chinese social media ecosystems, student recruitment marketing, and content-driven growth strategies, while also bringing an international mindset and strong communication skills.

2. Responsibilities:

Social Media Strategy & Marketing Management

  • Lead the company?s overall social media and digital marketing strategy across Xiaohongshu (RED), WeChat, Douyin, Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms;
  • Own end-to-end account operations, including planning, positioning, content direction, campaign execution, and performance optimization;
  • Develop and execute integrated marketing plans to drive brand awareness, engagement, and qualified lead generation;
  • Manage marketing budgets, paid advertising campaigns, and promotional initiatives to maximize reach, efficiency, and customer acquisition;
  • Monitor performance metrics (reach, engagement, conversion, and inquiry volume) and continuously optimize strategies to ensure stable and strong monthly results;
  • Identify growth opportunities across platforms and proactively implement data-driven solutions to improve marketing outcomes.

Campaign Execution & Brand Development

  • Lead execution of digital marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives across platforms;
  • Ensure consistent brand positioning, messaging, and visual identity across all marketing materials;
  • Support influencer collaborations, partnerships, and community initiatives to expand brand visibility and market reach.

Sales & Lead Generation Support

  • Work closely with the Sales team to support lead generation and customer acquisition;
  • Take ownership of monthly inquiry volume and ensure consistent pipeline support for the sales team;
  • Develop and optimize marketing initiatives that directly contribute to lead growth and conversion;
  • Continuously improve funnel performance from awareness to inquiry to enhance both lead quality and quantity.

Offline Marketing & Cross-functional Support

  • Support offline events, seminars, and promotional activities when required;
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of integrated marketing projects and campaigns.

3. Experience

  • Bachelor?s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Education, or a related field;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in marketing, social media, digital marketing, or student recruitment;
  • Strong understanding of Chinese social media platforms and content marketing strategies;
  • Excellent copywriting, content creation, and communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and multicultural environment;
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills;
  • Experience in education, language training, international education, study abroad, or immigration-related industries is highly preferred;
  • Candidates with experience growing social media accounts or managing successful digital marketing campaigns are preferred;
  • Candidates must currently reside in Toronto or be willing to relocate to Toronto.

Pay: From $48,279.44 per year
