Could you be the full-time Bogie Design Mock-up Leader in St-Bruno, QC, Canada we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your mechanical design and 3D technical modeling expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside passionate, collaborative, and innovative teammates.
You’ll play a key role in the development and optimization of bogie systems, creating sustainable, high-performance solutions tailored to our customers' needs. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with bogie architects, technical leads (PrEM), and other key teams within the company, taking charge of the design and analysis of technical solutions for bogie system components and sub-assemblies, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of creating and managing 3D digital mock-up, as well as preliminary sizing calculations and the technical validation of proposed solutions, but also leading and coordinating design teams and contributing to cost optimization and design compliance.
We’ll look to you for:
- Creating and managing 3D digital models and technical models
- Developing technical descriptions and specifications for bids
- Managing the configuration of digital models
- Planning and coordinating the activities of the team in charge of a project
- Contributing to product and process feasibility for bogie components and solutions
- Technically validating solutions using analytical calculations, dimension chains, and displacement matrices
- Ensuring design compliance with Alstom's Golden Rules and guidelines
- Optimizing the costs of industrial processes (welding, machining, molding, forging)

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 10 years of proven experience in bogie design and 3D technical modeling
- Solid knowledge of technical engineering and mechanical systems design in heavy industry
- Experience in optimizing the costs of industrial processes (welding, machining, casting, forging)
- Skills in preliminary sizing and structural calculations
- Basic knowledge of railway dynamics
- Experience in transmissions (architecture, preliminary sizing)
- Knowledge of braking systems (architecture, preliminary sizing)
- Innovative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Rigour, autonomy, teamwork, and leadership
- Bilingualism: Fluency in French and English is required. Knowledge of a third language is an asset for collaborations with our international partners, suppliers, colleagues, and clients. In Quebec, French remains the primary working language of our company.
