Piper Companies is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex new product development initiatives within the high-speed connectivity and electronics manufacturing industry. The Project Manager role is ideal for a technically skilled leader with experience managing cross-functional teams, driving project execution, and ensuring alignment with customer and business objectives. Must sit in Raleigh, NC, Valley Green, PA, Santa Clara, CA
Responsibilities of the Project Manager:
Manage full lifecycle of product development projects including planning, execution, and delivery. Lead cross-functional and global project teams while ensuring alignment to project scope and objectives. Serve as the communication liaison to Program Management for project status, schedules, and requirements. Schedule and facilitate project meetings, track action items, and ensure timelines are met. Coordinate internal teams and external suppliers to ensure timely completion of deliverables. Monitor project budgets and financial performance including capital requests and product costing. Drive decision-making to accelerate timelines related to market entry, volume production, and profitability. Ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles are incorporated throughout development. Oversee capacity planning to meet projected demand across project phases. Support implementation of systems required for product ordering and manufacturing readiness. Identify and mitigate risks using structured risk management and root cause analysis techniques. Collaborate globally with teams across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain functions.
Qualifications of the Project Manager:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 4+ years of relevant experience, preferably within connectors or electronics manufacturing. Also most have preferred experience in manufacturing environment. Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in complex, variable environments. Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience managing global or multi-site project teams. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision while providing clear status updates. Experience with root cause analysis methodologies and risk management practices. Strong organizational, leadership, and decision-making capabilities.
Compensation for the Project Manager includes:
Salary range: $70,000 - $110,000 Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO Opportunities for career growth within a global organization
