This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Strategic Finance Associate based in Canada. This role offers the opportunity to influence business growth through financial analysis, strategic planning, and data-driven decision-making. Accountabilities: The Strategic Finance Associate will support financial strategy, planning, and business performance initiatives by delivering accurate analysis and actionable insights. Key responsibilities include: Conducting financial analysis, including financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis to evaluate business performance. Identifying trends, risks, and opportunities through analysis of financial and operational data. Supporting strategic planning initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align financial objectives with business goals. Assisting with budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, including gathering inputs, maintaining models, and monitoring performance against targets. Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support informed decision-making and executive discussions. Preparing financial reports, presentations, dashboards, and reporting packages for leadership and stakeholders. Identifying cost optimization opportunities and partnering with teams to improve efficiency while maintaining business priorities. Improving financial processes, tools, and workflows through continuous improvement initiatives. Supporting ad hoc financial analysis, special projects, and strategic initiatives as needed. Communicating insights and recommendations clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders. Requirements: The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented finance professional with strong analytical skills, business acumen, and the ability to communicate insights effectively. Required qualifications and skills include: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; CPA designation or Master’s degree is an asset. 3+ years of experience across a combination of Big 4 audit, FP&A, accounting, or strategic finance roles. Strong experience with financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis. Ability to interpret complex financial data and translate findings into clear recommendations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including confidence engaging with executive-level stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on identifying business opportunities. Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills. Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects. Experience with Google Suite tools, including Sheets and Slides, is an asset. Familiarity with finance systems such as NetSuite, Cube, or similar platforms is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a remote-first, globally distributed environment. Candidates should be located in the Greater Toronto Area with the ability to occasionally access a local co-working space.
