Senior Project Manager - Infrastructure Enablement Owner
About the role
Job Description
On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is seeking a Senior Project Manager to manage the rollout of software solutions that sit on top of existing campus network infrastructure (ports, VLANs, switches. Familiarity with infrastructure terminology and the ability to work alongside network/infrastructure teams is required, but managing the roll out of applications below will be the key to the role.
Key Initiatives
IoT Software Enablement: Manage the rollout of a software layer that uses Internet of Things connectivity to access and interface with existing network hardware across campus (ports, VLANs, switches). This is an application enablement project, not a hardware/network build. Cleanon Custodial Application (add-on to existing Planon-type facilities platform): Manage implementation of a mobile application (phones/iPads) used by custodial staff to receive real-time job assignments and location-based task dispatch across campus facilities.
What We're Looking For
Experience as a Project Manager in a large, complex organization (public sector or similarly scaled institution) — this matters more than deep technical infrastructure expertise. Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships at scale: this role spans the entire organization, requiring coordination across potentially 100+ stakeholders to drive decisions. Comfortable operating as an application-layer PM who can speak infrastructure language and coordinate with network/infrastructure teams, vendors, and business units — without needing to be a network engineer. Ability to bridge business needs, technology teams, and vendor/application implementation activities. Strong communication and emotional intelligence: able to build relationships and social capital while also making decisive calls when needed — not conflict-avoidant, not overly aggressive.
