POSITION OVERVIEW - Key Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance
- Promote and ensure safe operation of all equipment by team members
- Support a strong safety culture and adherence to company policies
Quality Control
- Inspect all product packages before loading or removal from production lines
- Identify and report packaging deficiencies, missing tags, or quality concerns
- Investigate and report any defective materials
Operations & Logistics
- Load trucks and manage skid returns
- Monitor production schedules to ensure skid availability and inventory accuracy
- Order skids and coordinate site needs
- Work closely with the inside sales team on product storage and rotation
Equipment & Training
- Conduct in-house forklift training
- Maintain forklift training records and documentation
- Report major equipment repair needs
Site Coordination
- Schedule and oversee landscaping and snow removal services
- Ensure yard and equipment are clean, organized, and well maintained
Team Leadership
- Supervise yard team and assign daily tasks
- Provide guidance and support to ensure efficient operations
Additional Duties
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a forklift operator, with proven hands-on capability
- Strong knowledge of forklift operation, safety standards, and best practices
- Ability to successfully complete forklift certification requirements
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to train, coach, and motivate team members
- Strong coordination skills with the ability to effectively direct operators to load trucks and manage plant output lines safely and efficiently
- Detail-oriented with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Hourly Range: $31 - $33 Hourly
