Imperial Dade Canada, leading national distributor, has a job open in Saint-Laurent, QC. The ideal candidate manages several areas of Operational Accounting including, but not limited to vendor rebates, sales support and credit note operations. This person is the liaison between Finance, internal and external stakeholders in these areas, facilitates communication, leads month-end and year-end close procedures and is responsible for ensuring that all required financial accounting and reporting deadlines are met. Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end vendor rebate process, including contract analysis, creation and update of rebate programs in the Financial System, vendor inquiries and the processing/collection of amounts owing. Ensure timely generation and analysis of weekly and monthly departmental reports and resolve issues/discrepancies as required. Oversee the accurate and timely processing of all customer credit notes/rebills, and other sales-related adjustments; understand and review margin impacts as required. Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end close in areas of responsibility; ensure accuracy of accruals, variance analysis and account reconciliations; assist with audits as required. Lead and assist team, provide feedback and guide development. Participate in or lead ad-hoc projects and initiatives, as required. Qualifications Self-starter, results driven, detail-oriented with excellent analytical, and problem-solving skills. Fluently bilingual, with excellent verbal and written communication skills Positive and professional demeanor; ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Collaborative skills: works cooperatively with others across the organization to achieve shared objectives. Must adapt well to change in a fast-paced environment. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Advanced Microsoft Office skills with focus on Excel. Experience in operational accounting, including understanding of inventory costing and vendor rebate incentives. Must hold an Accounting degree, Bachelor of Commerce degree from an accredited University preferable. Experience in team management, with minimum of 5 years of related work experience; experience in large organizations an asset.
Working/Other Conditions Hybrid work model. Indoor office environment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Prolong periods of sitting, and computer and phone use.
