What you will do:

This is a unique opportunity within our Ops M&A practice. You will report directly to the Operations M&A Leadership team and play a critical role in supporting our Leaders, Team and Clients.

  • Work closely with Partners and key team members within a broad spectrum of the deal advisory team to help them derive maximum value from key projects.
  • Identify and quantify performance improvement opportunities, organization operating model design and planning using multiple and/or large sets of financial and operational data.
  • Provide strategic advice and analysis to identify opportunities through the development of extensive models rooted in financial and non-financial data
  • Support executives with business operations and building and executing detailed plans to support initiatives focused on running the business, business optimization and strategic growth
  • Provide program management support including project planning, tracking, execution and reporting on progress and risks and reporting to leadership and team
  • Support setup and management of financial/ operational KPI reporting
  • Support end to end engagement management including setup, risk management, budgeting, forecasting and data management
  • Take responsibility for the timely completion of well structured, fact-based, and data-driven project deliverables
  • Communicate effectively and skillfully with leaders and team to discuss insights of the analysis.
  • Provide sales support by working with Partners to develop sales pitch documents in PowerPoint and manage the sales pipeline and go to market strategy
  • Conduct research on specific topics, companies, and industries
  • Lead as required internal projects across Ops M&A to enhance our overall team experience
  • Proactively coach/mentor junior team members
  • Champion the Ops M&A team culture and seek out opportunities to ensure all team members embrace collaboration to drive team performance and lead on initiatives to enhance our culture
  • Work closely with Partners and key team members of the team to drive performance across the Ops M&A team.

What you bring to this role:

  • 3-5+ years of experience reporting into Senior Leadership team providing high-level support focused on strategic, financial, operational, and program management
  • An inquisitive, investigative, and digital mindset to test our leaders and clients’ thinking on their biggest challenges
  • Superior organization, business administration, and time management skills, with ability to prioritize competing demands under pressure and with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Solid business acumen, including problem solving, lateral thinking, and financial literacy.
  • A high degree of comfort with ambiguity to deliver value
  • Ability to quickly build effective working relationships.
  • High proficiency in quantitative and qualitative analyses combined with financial, operational, and commercial acumen. Awareness of the types of advanced analytical techniques that can be used to generate additional insights from data is favourable
  • Experience of leading others and working in collaboration with leaders
  • Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and discretion in handling urgent, sensitive and/or confidential information.
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision and in collaboration as part of a team
  • A degree e.g., Engineering, Finance and Accounting, Business, Operations related having a MBA, CPA, CFA an asset, or similar qualification.

KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information

The expected base salary range for this position is $98000 to $ 131500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
