The Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research invites applications for the position of:
PROGRAM HEAD
Northern Saskatchewan Indigenous Teacher Education Program (NSITEP) in Air Ronge, SK.
Competition Code: 2604 200AR Jul 26
NSITEP is a four-year fully accredited Bachelor of Education degree program offered by the Gabriel Dumont Institute in cooperation with Lac La Ronge Indian Band, and the University of Regina.
Duties and Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Director, the NSITEP Air Ronge Program Head will be responsible for overall administration of the NSITEP program including: recruitment, supervision and evaluation of faculty and students; arrangement for the delivery of instruction by staff and University personnel; provision of appropriate student counselling and student teaching placements; liaison with University of Regina and school officials; some teaching duties within the program may be required; partnership development and community building to advance the profile of the Institute; support the GDI mission, vision and strategic plan; any other duties consistent with the Program Head position, as assigned by the Director of GDI University Programs and Services.
Qualifications: The candidate will have a Master’s degree in Education or a related discipline, must have five (5) years of related and successful experience teaching in the K-12 system; 3-5 years of supervisory or leadership experience; experience in program administration, coordination, or educational leadership within post-secondary or teacher education programs; familiarity with Indigenous and Métis education, with demonstrated commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments; proficiency in budgeting, financial management, and reporting.

Remuneration: A competitive salary and benefits package
Term: August 2026 to August 2027 (subject to renewal)
