Role Description The Quality Assurance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at ECL’s Hanover, ON facility. This position oversees the quality management system, ensuring compliance with ISO9001 standards and customer requirements across all stages of the manufacturing process. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and updating quality procedures, leading inspections and audits, analyzing production data, and coordinating corrective and preventive actions. The Quality Assurance Manager collaborates closely with manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams to resolve quality issues, improve processes, and support new product introductions. The role also includes training team members on quality standards, preparing reports and documentation, and serving as a key point of contact for customers and external auditors on quality-related matters. Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in quality management, including ISO9001 systems, internal auditing, and continuous improvement methodologies. Strong skills in quality control tools such as inspection techniques, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive action (CAPA). Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in metal or electrical component production, with an understanding of integrated processes. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, including the use of spreadsheets, quality metrics, and statistical techniques to drive decisions. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and technical support teams. Proven leadership capabilities in managing quality teams, mentoring staff, and promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Post-secondary education in engineering, quality management, industrial technology, or a related discipline; relevant professional certifications (e.g., CQE, CQA) are an asset. Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and commitment to product and process excellence. Comfort working on-site in a manufacturing facility and engaging directly with production personnel and equipment.
