Within the BUTTING Group, our Sales Office in Calgary, AB, is the connecting link to the North American market. BUTTING Canada supplies our North American customers with welded pipes, machined and fabricated components, pressure vessels and storage tanks manufactured in our plants in Germany, USA and China.
Responsibilities Lead the execution, procurement, monitoring, and successful delivery of projects on time and within budget while managing customer communication, reporting, and project closure Coordinate sourcing and purchasing activities with multiple vendors, manage supplier and subcontractor contracts, monitor fabrication progress, support inspections, and optimize logistics, supply chain operations, and transportation routes Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless project execution and compliance with customer specifications, project requirements, applicable standards (ASME, API, AWS, ISO), and regulatory requirements Assess and develop supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and long-term collaboration while maintaining strong partnerships with all relevant stakeholders Support the Sales Team with cost estimation for capital projects and provide customers with detailed project updates, cunduct meetings, and provide technical coordination throughout project execution Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure successful delivery while maintaining quality, schedule, and budget objectives
Qualifications Technical expertise in pipe spool fabrication and skid assemblies Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills Willing to travel internationally Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience reading and interpreting design, engineering and construction drawings, as well as knowledge of welding processes and code compliance, is considered an asset Fluent in English, German is considered an asset
