What You'll Be Doing

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, cost-effective packaging and automation solutions:

• Lead mechanical design of packaging machinery and automated systems
• Drive projects from concept development through detailed design, build, installation, and customer acceptance
• Partner with Lead Product Line Designers to identify cost-saving opportunities in design and materials
• Manage assigned projects to meet schedule, cost, and quality objectives
• Ensure Bills of Material comply with company standards
• Support Sales with concept designs for future opportunities
• Specify and integrate OEM equipment in turnkey solutions
• Uphold and enhance engineering processes, standards, and design quality
• Provide hands-on support during assembly, testing, and troubleshooting

Leadership & Collaboration

• Supervise mechanical designers and support technicians during build and test phases
• Act as a technical resource across teams, answering questions and sharing expertise
• Continuously identify and recommend quality and cost improvements
• Stay current with industry regulations and codes relevant to packaging machinery
• Promote team development, collaboration, and continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

Your Background

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
• Demonstrable mechanical design experience
• Strong experience with automation and industrial machinery
• Packaging machinery experience is a strong asset
• Proven ability to manage engineering projects end to end

Your Skills

• Advanced CAD experience (2D/3D - Autodesk Inventor)
• Solid understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes
• Strong working knowledge of design standards
• High computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Project)
• Innovative, analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills
