HOURS OF WORK: 37.5 hours per week (Days/Evenings/Weekends/Holidays; Flexibility required)

ANNUAL SALARY: $71,214 - $89,037

About the Role:

Reporting to Director of Quality Assurance, the Quality Control Manager is responsible for oversight of all quality initiatives focused on capacity building at both organizational and leadership levels to promote and foster quality improvement excellence.
Responsibilities may include:

  • Oversees all quality initiatives focused on capacity building at both organizational and leadership levels, including but not limited to; QAM Mock Audits, Person Directed Planning, goal mapping, outcome achievement understanding, etc
  • Develops and oversees Kerry’s Place capacity building resources and frameworks as it pertains to quality initiatives and the fostering and promotion of quality improvement excellence
  • Plans and coordinates internal and external leadership development; designs internal management development plans, and works in partnership with external providers
  • Partner with other Clinical team members to create and execute innovative and effective quality-based learning development initiatives across all regions of the organization;
  • Develops education resources related to clinical practices
  • Provides education in a variety of formats based on the needs of the audience; this may include providing workshops, on-site capacity building, lunch and learns, departmental training sessions, or presentations
  • Provides in person demonstration of skills and processes when and as required
  • Provides facilitated Person Directed Plans, as required
  • Builds staff capacity through facilitating and providing professional onsite development opportunities and education related to clinical practices
  • Maintains a working knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analysis and seeks clarification when needed
  • Provides ongoing staff support, mentoring, and teaching pertaining to quality enhancement and the use of evidence-based quality improvement practices
  • Identifies and uses a variety of techniques to assess capacity needs across the organization related to quality improvement processes and support techniques
  • Assesses and evaluates the efficacy and maintenance of resource and development initiatives
  • Facilitates capacity building and follow ups in a timely manner
  • Develops and manages projects and quality initiative requests within the available budgets and resources allocated
  • Maintains a strong and up-to-date knowledge of current Quality Assurance Measures and Accreditation Canada Standards
  • Facilitates regular resources sharing of opportunities to promote compliance with Quality Assurance Measures and organizational policies
  • Provides direction and oversight to achieve Quality Key Performance Indicators with leadership
  • Collaborates and partners with Clinical staff and Supported Living leadership who are supporting with quality improvement initiatives
  • In collaboration with the SL Clinical Department, inclusive of the Quality team, provide supportive resources related to supporting people to achieve quality outcomes throughout the year
  • Other duties as assigned

Education Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, and/or Social Services or equivalent

Knowledge and Experience Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to develop multi-level leadership development programs and strategies
  • Demonstrated leadership experience including mentoring, coaching, and supervision
  • 3-5 years experience in education, human services, and/or social services or equivalent
  • Prior experience developing and delivering training or educational sessions to small or large audiences
  • Leading facilitation processes and documentation considered an asset
  • Strong knowledge of the Developmental Services sector
  • Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder and evidence-based treatment models and approaches.
  • Competency and effective use of database systems
  • Working knowledge of related legislation and regulations such as: Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Services and Supports to Promote the Social Inclusion of Persons with Developmental Disabilities Act, etc
  • Knowledge of budgeting is an asset
  • French language is an asset

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to complete the Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification, First Aid/CPR as well as perform the required physical techniques. Training will be provided
  • A valid Driver’s License, with a minimum G2
