Job Description:

A specialized professional role that focuses on the improvement of the agile team and champions the Agile and Scaled Agile methodology. Provides guidance to teams, peers and executives on applying the Agile mindset, protects the team from outside distractions, facilitates ceremonies, removes impediments and builds a strong, collaborative agile team. The Scrum Master understands Scaled Agile and helps stakeholders work according to this method for the benefit of the team and customers.

Job Description:

Drives continuous improvement and change, acting as a change agent to adapt processes to maximize productivity across teams of teams Engages appropriate stakeholders to identify and manage impediments to achieve outcomes of work commitments Identifies agile team improvement opportunities and looks externally for best practices in order to increase team productivity Makes sure there is no hidden work, ensuring that everything the agile team is working on is acknowledged and accounted for in the Product Backlog, protecting the team from distractions Owns championing of agile practices and ceremonies Provides advice and guidance to the agile team, as required, regarding best practices in Scaled Agile Ensures team adheres to ‘Work In Progress Limits’ established by the Product Owner, making sure the team is not working on too many stories/tasks at once, and helps them get into a flow of starting and completing work in a predictable manner Encourages the Team to look for opportunities to support each other (e.g., focus on higher priority Stories that team members are struggling with) Ensures a collaborative culture exists within the Team, promotes team building and ensures team engagement Coordinates and facilitates ceremony logistics and ensures all Agile ceremonies/processes are held and all team members are present and on time in particular, the daily stand-up meeting Ensures engagement of appropriate control partners Works across the agile team to ensure required assessments, and information are accurate and update to date.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Proficiency in JIRA Post -secondary education Certified Scrum Master and 3+ years of Scrum Master experience 5-7 years Agile related experience preferred 3+ years' experience with Agile Management tools Experience working in complex, Scaled Agile environments (software development, ID, product, or enterprise transformation).

Key Skills & Competencies:

Good facilitation, influence, and conflict resolution skills. Able to guide senior leaders, diverse teams, and stakeholders. Strong servant leadership mindset with the ability to influence without direct authority. Excellent risk management to identify "critical path" items in a sprint that could delay a major waterfall milestone Data-driven mindset. Comfortable with metrics, flow analysis and ART health assessment Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills (verbal, written, presentation). Ability to thrive in ambiguity and drive alignment in large, cross-functional settings.

Nice To Have:

Experience in regulated industries (ie., Finance) and DevOps / continuous delivery environments. Background in change management or organizational agility transformations.
