Our team in Canada is growing. We are currently recruiting for a Senior Planner/Scheduler to join our Minerals and Metals business in Vancouver or Calgary.

About The Role

Establish and manage the project schedule for the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning phases. Ensure that activities are updated accurately and on a regular basis. Prepare and maintain the project Basis of Schedule. Facilitate IPS’s (Interactive Planning Sessions) for the project, leading sessions with discipline leads, vendors and third parties, collecting progress data and organizing into logical forms. Apply resource loading for establishing optimal crew/staffing plans. Incorporate any required scope changes and trends into project schedule and monitor schedule delay impacts. Prepare selected project documentation related to project planning and monitoring. Provide client and internal reporting inputs of plan vs actual and any forecast mitigation strategies. Contribute to the ongoing development of the Planning and Project Controls Management Framework to deliver best practice solutions by applying knowledge of industry developments and experience of past trends or different situations. Comply with relevant Ausenco policies and procedures and work within legal and regulatory frameworks.

About You

Strong Project planning, scheduling and project execution experience is essential. A minimum of 10-15 years’ experience in Planning and scheduling in the field of engineering and construction, with particular emphasis on minerals and metals in an EPC/EPCM environment. Proficient knowledge of scheduling software – Primavera P6 & MS Project. An engineering degree or equivalent is desirable. Strong conceptual and analytical skills with high attention to detail. As this position requires significant amount of cooperation with other individuals excellent interpersonal and team playing skills are essential for success. Experience of supervising other staff with the ability to mentor and coach less experienced schedulers and planners. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with good commercial acumen and with experience of interfacing with clients.

Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 annually

Expected Salary: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
