The firm combines business expertise, analytical rigor, and creativity to help brands identify and operationalize new avenues for growth. Led by principals Peter S. Drummond and Leigh Gravenor, PSD+G brings an integrated perspective from both strategy and design disciplines, as well as direct client-side experience. The team understands the challenges involved in making complex strategic decisions and works closely with clients to navigate them effectively. PSD+G partners with a diverse range of organizations, including established corporations, emerging brands, and innovation-focused enterprises across multiple sectors. Role Description The Board Member role is a volunteer, on-site position based in Toronto, ON. Board Members will participate in regular board meetings, review strategic initiatives, and provide guidance on PSD+G’s long-term vision, governance, and growth priorities. Responsibilities include offering independent perspectives on business and brand strategy, assessing organizational performance, and supporting effective risk management and ethical decision-making. Board Members may also contribute to stakeholder engagement, help identify partnership opportunities, and advise on emerging trends in strategy, design, and client service. This role works collaboratively with other board members and firm leadership to support PSD+G’s mission and impact. Qualifications Experience in business strategy, brand strategy, or management consulting, with the ability to interpret market and customer insights. Background in design thinking, innovation, or integrated strategy and design approaches is highly beneficial. Strong governance, leadership, and decision-making skills, including prior board or senior executive experience. Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building abilities with diverse stakeholders. Familiarity with sectors such as media, healthcare, consumer products, financial services, or innovation-driven organizations is an asset. Demonstrated integrity, sound judgment, and commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practices. Ability to attend on-site meetings in Toronto, ON and commit time consistently in a volunteer capacity.
