Lead Structural Design Engineer – Aerospace (Onsite & Offshore Coordination) 📍 Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada (Onsite) 💼 Experience: 8–10 Years ✈️ Domain: Aerospace 📅 Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role We are looking for an experienced Lead Structural Design Engineer with strong expertise in Aircraft Structural Design and proven experience coordinating between onsite customer teams and offshore engineering teams. This is a client-facing role where you will act as the technical bridge between the customer and offshore delivery teams while ensuring high-quality engineering deliverables across aerospace programs. Key Responsibilities Lead structural design activities for aircraft components including fuselage, wing, empennage, and airframe structures. Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) between the customer and offshore engineering teams. Coordinate with Design, Stress, Manufacturing, MRB, and Production teams. Execute structural design tasks independently using CATIA V5 and ENOVIA. Review and validate 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and design deliverables. Support Engineering Change Requests (ECR), Engineering Change Orders (ECO), and configuration management activities. Coordinate MRB activities, concessions, deviation handling, and manufacturing support. Track project schedules, deliverables, risks, and status reporting. Ensure compliance with aerospace standards, customer processes, and quality requirements. Required Skills Mandatory 8–10 years of Aerospace Structural Design experience Aircraft Structural Design Airframe Design CATIA V5 ENOVIA GD&T Manufacturing Drawings Structural Detail Design Configuration Management Engineering Change (ECR/ECO) Onsite-Offshore Coordination Client-facing / Stakeholder Management Excellent communication skills Preferred Experience with Bombardier, Airbus, Boeing, De Havilland, Pratt & Whitney, Collins Aerospace, Safran, or other aerospace OEMs/Tier-1 suppliers FAR/CS25 knowledge MRB and Concession handling DMU & Clash Analysis Structural Integrity Sheet Metal & Metallic Structures Aerospace Manufacturing Support Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. Strong understanding of aircraft structures, aerospace materials, and structural design principles. Ability to work effectively in a global onsite-offshore delivery environment.
