For our business, for clients, and for you The Role & Key Responsibilities: · Year-End Distribution Calculations — Prepare and review YE distribution amounts for funds and partnerships. · Tax Compliance — Complete and review Canadian tax returns and investor reporting slips, including T3, T5013, and T5008. · FATCA / CRS — Manage annual FATCA and CRS due diligence, reporting, and investor classification. · SLFI Sales Tax Reporting — Prepare SLFI GST/HST filings and ensure compliance with special attribution rules. · T1134 Reporting — Prepare and review foreign affiliate reporting packages. · Mock Calculations — Run mock tax calculations to support planning, forecasting, and client discussions. · Investor ACB Adjustments — Process ACB updates, including workflows through with large clients. · Tax Planning Support — Participate in planning kickoff meetings and support structuring discussions. · Client Onboarding — Review onboarding reports, set up tax profiles, and ensure smooth integration into tax processes. · LP ACB / ARA Updates — Maintain investor-level ACB and ARA data within tax software. · Team Training — Lead internal training, monitor legislative changes, and update templates, binders, and process documentation. · Automation — Support automation initiatives and coordinate with operations teams. · Billing — Issue invoices and follow up with clients on outstanding items. · Tax Prep Software — Use Tax Prep for compliance, reporting, and workflow management. Qualifications, Skills and Experience: · 7+ years of Canadian tax experience (preferably in asset management, funds, or partnerships). · Strong knowledge of Canadian income tax rules, SLFI/GST/HST, FATCA/CRS, and foreign affiliate reporting. · Experience with Tax Prep, Paxus, and fund administration systems · Ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize effectively, and communicate clearly with clients. · CPA designation ; · CICA in-Depth taxation / Masters in Taxation (MTax) preferred; · Strong analytical skills and comfort working with large data sets. Preferred Attributes · Proactive, organized, and comfortable owning processes end-to-end. · Strong communicator who can explain tax concepts to non-tax stakeholders. · Enjoys improving processes, documentation, and automation. · Thrives in a fast-paced environment with evolving client needs. Salary ranges from CAD $165,000.00 – CAD $185,000.00 plus additional discretionary yearly bonus based on corporate and individual's performance.
