THE ROLE

We're hiring a Project Manager & Client Success Manager — someone who runs projects with discipline and uses every client interaction as an opportunity to build trust and deepen the relationship.

You'll manage multiple concurrent engagements across our client portfolio, coordinate internal technical teams, and serve as the steady operational presence that keeps delivery on track. At the same time, you'll own the client relationship day-to-day — becoming a trusted partner, not just a coordinator.

This role is primarily about excellent project execution. The account growth follows naturally from that.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Project Management — Primary (60–70%)

Own the end-to-end delivery of multiple client engagements simultaneously — plans, schedules, risks, dependencies, and status Coordinate internal teams of cloud engineers, security architects, and AI specialists — ensuring the right people are engaged at the right time with clear direction Run structured project cadences: kickoffs, weekly syncs, milestone reviews, retrospectives Proactively identify risks and blockers, escalate early, and re-plan quickly when priorities shift — without losing delivery momentum Prepare and deliver executive-ready status updates, project decks, and milestone summaries that are crisp, accurate, and stakeholder-appropriate Maintain tight documentation hygiene — project plans, action item logs, meeting notes, shared systems — so nothing falls through the cracks Drive continuous improvement in how Next Orbit delivers: better templates, cleaner handoffs, tighter processes

Client Success & Account Management — Secondary (30–40%)

Serve as the day-to-day relationship owner for your accounts — the person clients trust to be honest with them and advocate for their interests internally Build strong working relationships across client teams, from project leads to VPs and CISOs Stay ahead of client needs by understanding their roadmap, priorities, and constraints — not just the active SOW Identify natural expansion opportunities — additional workstreams, follow-on projects, adjacent problems Next Orbit can solve — and bring them to leadership Support QBRs, renewal conversations, and client-facing capability presentations as needed

Operational & Business Development Support

Contribute to pre-sales activities including discovery, scoping, and SOW development for new and existing accounts Help onboard new clients smoothly and set the right expectations from day one Partner with Next Orbit leadership on proposals, partner materials, and client-facing deliverables as needed

WHAT YOU BRING

Proven experience managing projects in a professional services, consulting, or technology delivery environment — you've run real engagements with real accountability Strong organizational skills and a structured approach to managing complexity: multiple projects, multiple clients, multiple stakeholders, simultaneously Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and visual — with the ability to adapt your message for a technical team or a VP-level executive Natural relationship instincts — you follow through, you're responsive, and clients feel taken care of when you're on their account Familiarity with project and collaboration tooling (Jira, MS 365, Notion, AI note-taking tools, etc.) Background or genuine interest in cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, DevOps, or enterprise IT — you don't need to be an engineer, but you need to be credible in a room full of them Comfortable with ambiguity — Next Orbit moves fast, scopes evolve, and priorities shift; you stay grounded and keep the team focused

NICE TO HAVE

Experience at boutique IT consulting or systems integrator firms Exposure to cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) or security tooling (Wiz, Snyk, HashiCorp Vault, etc.) Familiarity with SOW-based delivery models, staff augmentation, or managed services engagements PMP, PMI-ACP, or similar project management certification
