Stelumar Advanced Manufacturing Inc. (SAMI or Stelumar) is a technology-driven company dedicated to revolutionizing homebuilding in Canada through advanced modular building solutions. Founded by Canadian entrepreneur Peter Gilgan, founder of Mattamy Homes, Stelumar combines automation, robotics, and AI to modernize construction and help address the housing shortage. With state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in the Greater Toronto Area, Stelumar is focused on accelerating construction timelines, improving consistency and making housing more attainable. Stelumar produces precision-built walls, floors, and roofing systems, factory-built modular units, and interior cabinetry and millwork at industrial scale. Its development and construction arm, Stelumar Communities, delivers scalable modular housing from planning and design to construction and handover. The team supports low- and mid-rise residential, purpose-built rental, affordable and workforce housing, student housing, hospitality, healthcare-related housing, and institutional developments. Together, Stelumar is delivering housing people are proud of. For more information, visit Stelumar.com. What we offer The Manager, Strategy and Business Operations plays a key role in shaping the commercial strategy for the Housing Solutions business and owns the system that converts that strategy into performance. The role defines how SAMI prices modular housing, which opportunities the business pursues, how partnership and product economics are structured, and where the business concentrates as it scales. It then operationalizes that strategy across the order pipeline, the factory, and the P&L - sequencing production, resolving trade-offs across Operations, Finance, and Product, and building the planning infrastructure the business depends on. It is a high-ownership generalist position for a candidate with strong commercial judgment, structured problem-solving, and the credibility to drive cross-functional decisions. What you’ll do Commercial strategy and pricing Define the commercial strategy for the housing business, including pricing, unit economics, and portfolio focus. Structure the contracting and partnership model, including module transfer agreements with customers. Lead project scoping and pricing: establish commercial inputs, margin targets, assumptions, and key risks, and present recommendations to leadership. Integrated business planning Direct integrated planning across the order pipeline, factory capacity, and financial plan, determining what the business builds and in what sequence. Convert booked and pipeline demand into capacity and prioritization plans with Operations, and resolve competing priorities across Operations, Finance, and Product. Performance and insight Own the reporting and analysis on margin, orderbook, and unit economics that informs leadership decisions, underpinned by disciplined forecasting and pipeline visibility. Build and scale Build the tools, dashboards, and processes that establish integrated planning as a repeatable, scalable system. Lead high-priority commercial and operational initiatives end to end as a thought partner to leadership. Other duties as assigned What you bring Post-secondary education in engineering, business, finance, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in strategy, business operations, commercial planning, or operations planning. Strong structured problem-solving skills, commercial and financial acumen, and the ability to work effectively across functions. Experience building processes, tools, or operating models in scaling or ambiguous environments. Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP, order management, or business reporting systems. Bonus Points Experience in modern methods of construction or manufacturing. MBA or other relevant advanced degree. Compensation The expected base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $130,000. Actual pay may vary depending on your job-related knowledge, competencies, and skills. We recognize that exceptional situations may fall outside this range, and we encourage all interested candidates to apply. You are also eligible to participate in Stelumar’s annual bonus program which gives you the opportunity to increase your total compensation if business and individual goals are achieved. We encourage applicants who meet most of the role requirements to hit that submit button and apply! It’s okay if you don’t have 100% of the requirements. If you’re the right candidate, we’ll help you learn and grow. Stelumar is committed to providing accommodation for people with disabilities.
