About the role
Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Museum. Festival. Rural area. Tasks: Assist in preparing financial reports. Promote conference and meeting services or special events. Develop marketing and communication plans. Develop media strategies and public relations activities. Recruit, hire and supervise staff and/or volunteers. Prepare, present and manage budgets. Develop sponsorship, partnership or fundraising programs. Solicit event donors. Assist in budget preparation. Co-ordinate media services. Co-ordinate set-ups, staging, seating, parking, communication systems and other details for special events. Plan schedules, goals and objectives. Plan for required documentation and for pre- and post-distribution of documentation (itineraries, evaluations etc.). Research and design special events programs. Plan for traffic and crowd control and security. Prepare final financial and other reports. Manage Event Logistics. Screen, recruit and train volunteers and support staff. Co-ordinate special events. Supervision: More than 20 people. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel. MS Office. MS Outlook. MS Word. MS Windows. Area of work experience: Business. Tourism associations. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Child Abuse Registry check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own transportation.
