About the role
TRUE Hockey is one of the fastest-growing and most ambitious brands in hockey. Trusted by elite pro players and driven by a relentless commitment to innovation, we're building for where the game is going — not where it's been. We're looking for a proactive, energetic and organized Marketing Coordinator — Retail & Partnerships to help bring that vision to life through product launches, retail programs, partnerships, events, and channel marketing initiatives. This role sits at the center of the business, working across Marketing, Sales, Product, and Sports Marketing to keep projects moving and retailers equipped for success. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership, embraces AI-powered ways of working, and enjoys turning ideas into action. What You'll Own Trade & Channel Marketing • Plan and execute tradeshows and brand events end-to-end — logistics, materials, vendors, booth setup, and on-site execution • Fulfill retailer and field rep marketing requests with speed and accuracy — sell-in materials, POP assets, and product information packages • Build and deploy B2B email marketing campaigns — list management, execution, reporting, and optimization • Coordinate sales catalog production from content gathering to final delivery • Support the development of retail sell-in decks and channel-specific marketing materials Partnership Activation • Execute co-branded activation programs across TRUE's national and international sport organization partnerships • Coordinate partner co-marketing deliverables — asset collection, approvals, deployment, and reporting • Be the day-to-day activation contact for our partner network, escalating relationship items to the Marketing Manager Retail Enablement • Own our retail training platform — build, maintain, and evolve product training modules for floor staff across national and independent retail accounts • Develop retailer-facing education content that helps sales reps sell TRUE with confidence • Track platform engagement and report on program performance Digital Asset & Product Information Management • Manage TRUE's digital asset library — organization, tagging, version control, and distribution to internal teams, retailers, and partners • Keep product information current and accurate across all channels ahead of key retail windows • Fulfill asset and information requests with a clear SLA so the sales team is never waiting Marketing Operations • Brief the Graphic Designer on creative requests — campaign assets, POP production, presentations — with clear scope, context, and deadlines • Manage POP and print vendor relationships — quotes, proofs, approvals, and delivery timelines • Keep presentations moving — formatting, updating, and preparing sales and partner decks for internal and external use • Be the catch-all that makes the department run — if it needs to get done and it touches the brand, you find a way to get it done • Own the marketing project tracker across all active workstreams — flagging bottlenecks, chasing approvals, keeping nothing in limbo Project & Operations Coordination • Manage purchase orders, invoices, and budget tracking for trade and channel marketing activities • Draft and distribute creative briefs, campaign recaps, and status updates • Support the Marketing Manager with scheduling, meeting prep, and cross-functional communications What You Bring Required • 3–5 years of experience in marketing, trade marketing, events, or project coordination • A natural operator — organized, responsive, and able to juggle multiple workstreams without dropping anything • Strong written and verbal communication — you can write a retailer brief and a partner email without being prompted twice • Experience with email marketing platforms — deployment, list management, basic reporting • Comfort with project management tools (Asana, Monday.com, or equivalent) • Working knowledge of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or equivalent) — you use them to move faster and work smarter, not as a novelty Preferred • Background in sports, consumer goods, or specialty retail marketing • Familiarity with digital asset management platforms (Canto or similar) • Experience with retail training or e-learning platforms (Endvr or similar) • Tradeshow or event logistics experience • Genuine passion for hockey and the hockey industry — you don't have to have played, but you have to care • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field What Success Looks Like At 90 days, you have full command of the tradeshow calendar, active retailer requests, the asset library, and the retail training platform. You know the key contacts — internal and external — and you're running independently. At 6 months, you're not waiting to be asked. You're anticipating what's coming, managing partner activations end-to-end, and operating as the connective tissue between marketing and the commercial side of the business. You're making the whole department faster. What We Offer • Comprehensive health and dental benefits • Hybrid work flexibility — we care about output, not where you sit • Employee equipment and gear allowance with pro-deal pricing on TRUE products — you'll be using what you're selling Why TRUE TRUE is on the move. A growing team, a brand with momentum, and a product lineup that's earning the trust of elite players at every level. We're building something — and we want people who want to be part of it. You'll have real ownership, direct access to leadership, and the chance to help shape what comes next. If that sounds like your kind of role — we want to hear from you. What It's Like to Work Here We're a lean team that moves fast and takes the work seriously — without taking ourselves too seriously. You'll have direct access to leadership, real input on how things get done, and the kind of visibility that only comes from being part of a small, high-output team at a brand that's got a vision to be recognized as the #1 brand in hockey. We care about doing innovating, doing great work, backing each other up, and building something we're proud of. If you've ever wanted to be close to the action — this is it.
