Job Summary Project and Program Managers at Equinix are responsible for delivering complex, large-scale strategic programs while driving the integration of artificial intelligence into program workflows and operations. This role builds high-impact relationships with global stakeholders to launch new products and services, and acts as a key champion for AI adoption, identifying opportunities to automate, augment, and accelerate program delivery through AI-powered tools and processes. The ideal candidate brings deep program management expertise paired with a strong working knowledge of AI technologies and the ability to lead AI-enabled transformation initiatives. Responsibilities Program & Project Delivery Own the full lifecycle of large-scale, high-impact technology programs from initiation through delivery Scope, plan, and manage multiple concurrent technical projects across diverse teams and domains Lead cross-functional teams through Agile, Scrum, and/or SDLC methodologies to deliver business-critical outcomes on time and within budget Drive program alignment with strategic objectives, ensuring dependencies, risks, and resources are proactively managed Develop and maintain integrated program plans including scope, schedule, milestones, and resource allocation Facilitate retrospectives and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery practices Lead estimation processes and resource planning across engineering, product, and operations teams Applies AI tools to streamline program planning, status tracking, reporting, and documentation—including the use of generative AI, workflow automation, and intelligent dashboards AI Enablement & Innovation Champions AI literacy and adoption across program teams, helping colleagues understand how to effectively leverage AI tools in day-to-day workflows Evaluates emerging AI tools (e.g., AI project management platforms, LLM-based assistants, intelligent scheduling tools) and recommends adoption where appropriate Collaborates with AI/ML and data teams to co-design AI-enabled solutions that improve program outcomes Establishes governance frameworks for responsible AI use within program workflows, ensuring alignment with company policies and ethical standards Stays current on AI and technology trends relevant to cloud services, product development, and program operations Communications & Stakeholder Management Adapts communications across audiences—team members, key stakeholders, and executive leadership—with clarity, brevity, and appropriate use of AI-assisted synthesis tools Develops executive-ready program updates, leveraging data visualization and AI-generated summaries to communicate complex program status efficiently Works extensively with internal and global stakeholders to build strong partnerships, ensure strategic alignment, and drive clarity for program goals across functions Partners with GTM and Sales to plan and drive commercialization of new products and services Executes through influence and cross-functional collaboration, creating an environment of mutual trust and accountability Portfolio, Governance & Risk Management Design and implement program-level reporting and dashboards for executive stakeholders Define and evolve program management processes, templates, and operating rhythms to support scalable delivery, operational excellence, and thoughtful adoption of AI-enabled workflows and tooling Manages complex and reputational risks spanning projects, strategic initiatives, and governing bodies where required Applies lateral thinking and data analysis to solve complex problems Qualifications Experience & Education 7+ years of experience in technology program or project management, with a proven track record of delivering complex, interdependent initiatives on budget and on time Demonstrated expertise in Agile, Scrum, and SDLC methodologies Strong proficiency with project management tools and portfolio reporting systems Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills Demonstrated curiosity and adaptability with emerging technologies, including AI-assisted workflows, developer tooling, and operational automation Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred with strong analytical skills Technical & AI Skills Proficient in applying AI tools to program management workflows, including generative AI assistants, intelligent automation platforms, and AI-enhanced analytics Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts, including understanding of model lifecycle, data pipelines, prompt engineering, and responsible AI principles—sufficient to collaborate effectively with technical teams Experience with AI-powered productivity tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, Notion AI, or similar) to improve team efficiency and output quality Familiarity with cloud AI services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP AI/ML offerings) relevant to product and program context Proficiency in data-driven decision making; comfortable working with dashboards, business intelligence tools, and AI-generated insights Core Competencies Strong facilitation skills with experience engaging teams in collaborative, distributed environments Deep understanding of current and emerging technologies supporting cloud services development and adoption Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and inspire at all levels Demonstrated ability to drive execution through influence, team building, and cross-functional collaboration The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are: Canada - Toronto Office TRO : 112,000 - 162,000 CAD / Annual Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
