St Andrew’s has hospitals in Birmingham and Essex, with its base in Northampton. It delivers inpatient and outpatient services, as well as dedicated care services for adults.
The role
This role can be based at either our Birmingham or Essex hospital and is an exciting opportunity to be part of our Health and Safety and Emergency Planning team to ensure the maintenance, updating and auditing of emergency planning policies and procedures for our regional hospitals.
You will co-ordinate and monitor emergency planning work activities ensuring compliance with relevant current legislation, NHSE guidance, training against National Occupational Standards, health and safety, standards, codes of practice, organisation policies, and regulations.
You will work with operations teams across the Charity to ensure business continuity systems and plans are in place. This will include business impact analysis, business continuity plan development, assessment, and testing.
You will also support training for staff in aspects of Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR), business continuity and associated subjects supported by the Health and Safety Manager and Hospital Directors.
About You
You will have a strong knowledge of operational processes and procedures and experience in operational roles including but not limited to clinical services, health and safety or estates and facilities.
You will be an effective team worker, who promotes a can-do attitude through a style of behaviour that is inclusive, open, and participative, with exceptional communication skills. You will be a natural problem solver who seeks innovative customer and colleague-focused solutions to complex problems.
You will ideally have experience of project management and knowledge of risk and control frameworks and resilience risks relating to business operations.
