Responsibilities
Tasks
Direct and control construction projects Evaluate the operations of facilities and the included real estate Identify customers’ needs Oversee the preparation of reports and statistics related to areas of responsibility Plan and organize construction projects Plan and organize the operations of the facilities and the included real estate Prepare reports and statistics related to areas of responsibility Read blueprints to determine dimensions of structure or system and material requirements Recommend products or services to customers Assess client’s needs and resources to recommend the appropriate goods or services Develop reports and proposals to illustrate benefits from use of good or service Estimate costs of installing and maintaining equipment or service Provide input into product design where goods or services must be tailored to suit client's needs Develop and implement schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs Direct the maintenance and repair of an establishment's machinery, equipment and electrical and mechanical systems Hire and oversee training and supervision of staff Oversee the installation, maintenance and repair of real estate infrastructures including machinery, equipment and electrical and mechanical systems Plan and manage the facility's operations budget Plan, organize and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security and snow removal Train customers' staff in the operation and maintenance of equipment Resolve product and service related problems Troubleshoot problems related to equipment Administer and deliver the negotiated collective agreement including terms and conditions of employment between union and employer Organize and maintain inventory Tender contracts Prepare tenders and quotations Prepare and administer contracts for property services, such as maintenance Plan and control budget and expenditures Monitor safety conditions Manage contracts Report on structural, component or system failures Inspect workplaces for safety or health hazards Ensure compliance with government regulations Disseminate health and safety information Consult with boards of directors, senior managers and government officials Prepare reports Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers Liaise with management, union officials and HR consultants Review purchase order claims and contracts to determine compliance with company policy Prepare reports and others documents for consideration and presentation to executive committees and boards of directors
