About the Role Our client is seeking a Project Execution Engineer to join their Digitalization team in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. This role will support the planning, execution, and implementation of digital transformation initiatives across client and internal projects. The Project Execution Engineer will help evaluate emerging technologies, assess their readiness and value, and support the delivery of digital solutions that improve project execution, operational efficiency, and multidisciplinary collaboration. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, internal project teams, third-party vendors, and global digitalization representatives to understand business needs, identify value-producing opportunities, and help implement practical digital strategies across engineering, process, and construction environments. Key responsibilities include supporting digital project roadmaps, coordinating client kickoff meetings and technical discussions, monitoring the progress of digital solutions, identifying risks or barriers to successful delivery, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to develop effective mitigation plans.
About You You are an engineering professional with experience in an engineering, process, or construction environment and a strong interest in digital innovation. You are comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams, engaging with clients, and translating business or project needs into practical digital solutions. You bring a structured approach to problem-solving, with the ability to gather key information, analyze challenges, recognize potential issues, and make sound decisions in a timely manner. You are organized, adaptable, and able to manage competing priorities while keeping projects aligned with timelines, governance requirements, and client expectations. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, at least five years of relevant industry experience, and an understanding of cloud-based applications or digital tools. You do not need to be purely technical, but you should be curious, innovative, and able to understand how digital solutions can improve project execution, workforce efficiency, and client outcomes.
