Your contribution!

  • Ensure all on-site activities are conducted in accordance with applicable safety standards;
  • Manage all operations and maintenance activities for balance-of-plant (BOP) and wind turbines assets within established operating guidelines;
  • Identify and engage contractors for the delivery of BOP and wind turbines maintenance;
  • Ensure that BOP maintenance is conducted in accordance with NERC and Hydro-Québec standards;
  • Complete or assist with NERC compliance reports for Owner and liaise with the internal compliance manager as required;
  • Ensure that wind turbines are operated and maintained in accordance with OEM and applicable industry standards;
  • Ensure the BOP on call schedule;
  • Ensure that turbine, civil and other issues are monitored, tracked and resolved;
  • Ensure compliance with site environmental regulations pertaining to hazardous waste, oil spill prevention, avian studies, and wildlife conservation;
  • Oversee the facility’s operations and ensure that maintenance-related activities are aligned with the performance requirements outlined in related contracts;
  • Liaise with suppliers for spare parts, improved parts availabilities, warranty issues and lead time;
  • Produce daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports in accordance with operational, safety, regulatory and environmental performance requirements;
  • Engage appropriate internal and external resources to diagnose and rectify performance and reliability issues;
  • Plan and organize works and projects of Innergex’s wind technicians and sub-contractor’s technicians;
  • Manage the wind technicians to ensure the productivity and effectiveness in their tasks;
  • Maximize performance and ensure value retention for the facility;
  • Manage and optimize production and cost operation within operational budget;
  • Oversee the CMMS operation, preventive maintenance, corrective work order and inventory;
  • Provide administrative report and documentation to ensure the proper operating of the site;
  • Periodically cooperate with other area Site Managers for vacation coverage and assistance, as needed;
  • Represent the company as needed with grid and off-taker entities and in landowner and community relations; Additional duties as required.

Your skills, our requirements!

  • College or bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience/training in power generation;
  • Wind turbine technician designation or trade experience;
  • Relevant supervisory experience;
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders;
  • Experience with operations/maintenance of High Voltage systems would be considered an asset;
  • Strong problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision;
  • Ability to multi-task in a complex and dynamic environment;
  • Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Be in a good physical condition, able to carry out physical tasks and work outdoors in adverse weather conditions;
  • Have a valid driver’s license in good standing;
  • CMMS experience will be considered;
  • Bilingualism (French and English, written and spoken) is an asset to ensure collaboration with different stakeholders outside of Québec on a regular basis.

  • The position can be based in the company's Baie-des-Sables site in Quebec.
  • This position is a M1 level.
