Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Leader to drive successful delivery of complex initiatives aligned with public sector priorities. This role focuses on ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, while maintaining compliance with established project management methodologies and frameworks.
Key Responsibilities Ensure project deliverables meet business requirements within timelines, scope, and budget Communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders across business units Facilitate business process improvements using structured methodologies Plan and lead project execution using Agile and digital delivery approaches Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, scope, and deliverables Monitor and forecast project costs; ensure financial targets are met Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively Lead stakeholder engagement, including steering committees and executive reporting Manage project teams, assign responsibilities, and oversee performance Resolve resourcing, operational, and interpersonal conflicts Support procurement processes and vendor management activities Promote adherence to project management best practices and standards Drive organizational change management and stakeholder adoption Provide program and portfolio reporting to senior leadership Ensure compliance with accessibility standards and regulatory requirements
Qualifications Mandatory Skills 10+ years of experience in project management Strong knowledge of Project Management Institute (PMI) frameworks (PMBOK) Knowledge of Information Management principles, policies, and practices Understanding of accessibility legislation and related standards (AODA) Experience recommending and managing technology solutions (software/hardware) Proven experience managing full project lifecycle (planning, execution, monitoring, closing) Strong ability to manage stakeholder relationships and expectations Experience identifying and resolving project risks and conflicts General Skills Experience in strategic planning, business case development, and funding support Strong project budgeting, forecasting, and financial management skills Ability to lead cross-functional teams and ensure delivery compliance Expertise in project governance, reporting, and stakeholder communication Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stream projects Experience establishing processes, procedures, and operational guidelines Strong leadership and team-building capabilities Desirable Skills Additional experience in PMI-aligned methodologies Advanced understanding of information management and accessibility standards Proven ability to optimize project outcomes through effective planning and controls
