We are currently looking for a Retail Marketing Planner to join our team in Mississauga, ON. A Day in the Life: POSITION SUMMARY The key objective of the job function is to oversee and co-ordinate Retail Marketing programs that include monthly advertising campaigns, event planning, and reporting. POSITION FUNCTIONS The following position function statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed. The position function statements reflect expectations of the fully trained, proficient incumbent who meets all performance criteria. ADVERTISING: Oversee monthly production of regional advertising (Ad mats, TV, Radio, Digital, Social Media, Website, Out-Of-Home [OOH], and Point-of-sale [POS] materials) Act as the lead for regional Dealer Advertising Associations [DAA]. Organize conference calls, present monthly/quarterly media plans, capture feedback, distribute meeting minutes and collaborate with manager on action items and forward planning Brief agency partners on monthly tactical campaigns Liaise with internal stakeholders (C&I, CMM, Product Planning, etc.) to ensure content accuracy in all materials and review legal and disclaimers for accuracy with the support of Legal and the Agency Coordinate the vehicle logistics for production and/or event sponsorship activity Act as the point of contact between Regional teams/Dealers and NCI regarding Retail Marketing Co-op Advertising Administration: Assist with admisitering the dealer co-op program, including budgeting, process, guidelines, and communication Respond to Co-op inbox inquires, and escalate to Manager where required Coordinate the monitoring of monthly dealer participation in the Nissan Co-op Advertising Program Oversee direct dealer communications in regards to co-op budgeting MEDIA PLANNING & PERFORMANCE Lead coordination with media agency partners on quarterly and campaign-level media plans to ensure alignment with business objectives and regional priorities. Closely monitor in-flight performance and optimize with agency to drive key Own post-campaign reporting and performance analysis, delivering clear, actionable insights to internal stakeholders and DAA. DIGITAL: Manage and maintain the Dealer Asset Marketing portal. Ensure content is up-to date, relevant and available to the dealer network in a timely manner Update monthly regional offers on Nissan.ca as per approved C&I programs and/or as required per sales event Oversee campaign post reporting with Agency partners Partner with Digital team on site updates and maintenance, as required EVENTS: Organize and coordinate quarterly Dealer Marketing Advisory Council [DMAC] meetings, including venue, hotel, menu selection and general event planning REPORTING: Develop bi-monthly Performance Review Meeting [PRM] content Develop and publish marketing bulletins on Dealer Portal and produce Electronic Field Communications BUDGETING Circulate estimates for approval Create purchase requisitions and shopping baskets; monitor approved/revised estimates against invoices and manually processes invoices via Taulia. Continuously track and update internal budgeting summary document Participate in monthly budgeting meetings with External Vendors Who We’re Looking for: Required: Minimum 3 to 5 years in a marketing, communications or advertising role is required University degree or equivalent degree in Marketing required This position requires a post-secondary diploma with a focus on marketing communications and or equivalent related business experience. Must be able to work independently, deal with multiple tasks/deadlines and able to change priorities when required. Excellent communication skills (written/verbal); strong customer service ethic Knowledge: This position requires a post-secondary diploma with a focus on marketing communications and or equivalent related business experience. Minimum 3 to 5 years in a marketing, communications or advertising role is required. Solid understanding of the Canadian media landscape and performance metrics is considered an asset. Previous automotive experience is preferred. Bilingual (French English – spoken/written) is preferred. Must be able to work independently, deal with multiple tasks/deadlines and able to change priorities when required. Excellent communication skills (written/verbal); strong customer service ethic. Interpersonal Skills: The incumbent of this position is required to communicate effectively with managers, co-workers, dealers, agencies and vendors. Exchange information with diplomacy when working with other personnel. Effective listening skills, good conflict resolution and presentation preparation skills and the ability to present information with diplomacy is also required. Complexity and Problem Solving: This position requires the ability to oversee large, complex projects in a short period. The ability to be solutions driven and show initiative is critical. Physical and Sensory Demands: This position entails a moderate degree of sensory effort (i.e. concentration when proofing materials or summarizing budget numbers, acquiring detailed information via telephone, emails, and presentations); there is moderate physical effort (i.e. Walking and climbing stairs, inspecting vehicles, event set-ups/tear-downs, attending commercial shoots, attending brochure pre-press runs). Decision-making/Impact of the Position: This position holds a level of responsibility (i.e. ensuring accuracy in ads/ brochures), which may have negative impact on the business in terms of image, dealer relations and also impact budget and cashflow if incorrect information is approved. People Management: At times the incumbent may be required to lead agency projects with the support of the Manager. Travel: occasional travel may be required. Mississauga Ontario Canada Salary Range: $77,711.00 - $96,034.00 This compensation range represents the minimum to midpoint base salary rates at Nissan for jobs assigned to this particular grade level. Please note that an employee’s base salary may occasionally be set above the midpoint of the salary band for this grade level, in recognition of the employee’s unique skills, work experience, education, work location, or market conditions. Compensation decisions also consider internal equity and comparisons with the base salary rates of other employees with similar backgrounds working in comparable roles.
