The position at a glance
Reporting locally to the Head of Automation Services in AMER and functionally to the Global Head of Automation Services in EMEA, the production Engineer will be accountable for the technical support as well as the projects delivery for the Production and non-production platforms
Main activities of the Team
Design, build and Run of the Automation platform and DataOps platform including monitoring and alerting. Support L1/L2/L3 on products in scope. Automate Release deployment leveraging DevSecOps platform. Contribute on standardization and Industrialization of the software packaging and deployment leveraging the CIB DevSecOps Platform Release Deployment
In detail
Incident and Problem Management
Ensures all incidents are correctly logged in the Bank incident management system with relevant details ﴾downtime, slowness etc.﴿ and ownership of their resolution. Ownership on the root causes analysis Liaises with upstream/downstream systems owners, Project and task management, Drives the technical projects from requirements gathering through to design, build and run phases. Ensures the projects get the right priority and budget in place.
Release and Change Management
Make sure the releases follow standard SDLC practices leveraging the standard DevSecOps pipeline. End to End Release management from development environment to Production environments. Liaise with the dependent teams to ensure enhancements and bug fixes are prioritized and completed as appropriate. Coordination for Infrastructure change
Security and Control
BCP/DR strategy, management, and testing Ensure platform is compliant with Security standards Review and make sure controls are accurate and done in time for the perimeter
Reporting
Produce relevant consolidated reports and dashboard including meaningful KPIs on the following topics: Platform usage and capacity Main projects Team activity Contribute to Controls, Risk Assessments and various compliance requirements as needed.
Work Conditions
This position provides for standard working conditions in an office and a normal work schedule from Monday to Friday Participate to the global on Call Weekend activities on needed basis for DR, Platform patches and upgrade to be scheduled within the local team or globally if possible
The Strengths And Skills That Will Help You Succeed
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience 7+ years: Industry experience. 7+ years: System administrator experience with CA AutoSys solutions (r12.1.x or before) Hands on experience managing the CA AutoSys/Workload Automation AE product line – Specifically AutoSys WAAE r12.1.x. Solid understanding of Linux / Windows shell and scripting. Familiar with Python and/or other scripting tools Exposure to relational databases and SQL. Familiarity with Oracle. Hands on experience of deployment and release management. Knowledge of ServiceNow Incident/Change/Request Management process is added advantage. Ability to work independently, as a member of a team but also to manage one Ability to balance workload and manage the responsibilities for the platform. Critical thinking/analytical skills. Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills. Proven ability to communicate complex information in simple terms. Ability to prioritize and manage urgent deliverables as needed. Demonstrated ability to work in high intensity situations maintaining attention to detail. Ability to negotiate with peer groups and business partners. Ability to speak or present information in confident, clear, concise direct manner to peers and Senior Leaders. Assertive and decisive character with excellent leadership and discussion facilitation skills.
Technical skills
