Visit us here to learn more about Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects (Internal Title: Project Management IV) The Rail Access Planning Team is leading on the new Rail Access Performance and Prioritization Workstream and as such requires Project Managers to assist the Project Delivery Teams and Supply Chain with increasing Rail Access Utilization, Availability, Productivity and decreasing waste. Rail access optimisation. Support with bookings of appropriate access aligned to planned activity. Improve visibility of planned and booked works. Support with access specific negotiations. Support access innovation – aiming to achieve cost reduction and improving safety. Providing expertise to maximise the available working windows. Support the use of the Rail access planning tool. Assist with adherence to access process, procedure, and standards. Communicate and demonstrate planning best practice. The Rail Access Project Manager is responsible for driving the day-to-day activities being undertaken by project teams and supply chain with regards to the booking and utilizing of rail access within the boundaries of the CPG Projects. Following Root Cause Analysis on all projects and using data to drive decision making the Project managers will create the necessary action plans to, in collaboration, assist in optimizing projects plans. This role will also investigate the works carried out by the rail corridor access control team and run access improvement workshops with all CPG entities.: Assist in creation of clean and accurate data source for access utilization. Create and track KPIs to assist in Utilization, Availability, Productivity improvement. Conduct Root Cause Analysis exercises on all CPG Projects. Create improvement plans to be measured and monitored using the Lean Control room methodology. Assistance with Rail corridor access, possession, interface and deconfliction management. Create a collaborative working culture between capital works and operations teams, driving continuous improvement. Seek improvements to the existing governance structure to support better decision making and change management.

Working Conditions Office-based (5 Days a week in Office)

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Experience: Minimum of 12 years of experience in Rail Access Project Management

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

Licenses OR Certifications: Green Belt/Black Belt Certified in an industrial environment with thorough knowledge of generic key business processes. Expertise in Lean and Six-Sigma methodologies and toolsets. Holding a recognized Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Skills and Competencies: Knowledge and understanding of access issues in a railway environment. Knowledge and understanding of contractual issues in an access environment. Awareness of safety issues in an operational railway environment Knowledge of access improvement initiatives and an understanding of how to drive these through to bring the desired benefits. Have experience of planning complex, multidisciplinary construction works within operational corridors. Have experience of dealing with rail access staff. Have experience of rail access booking systems. Be able to understand various rules and regulations that dictate strategic access.
