About the role

PACT (Pearson Accelerator Construction Team) is a General Partnership of Alberici, Amico, Kenaidan, and Obayashi, supported by design partners Egis, Mott MacDonald, and Weston Williamson + Partners. Together, we are delivering Accelerator, a major program of Pearson LIFT (Long-term Investment in Facilities and Terminals), Toronto Pearson's infrastructure development plan. This multi-year program is designed to address immediate passenger growth demands while preparing Canada’s largest airport for the future of air travel—including critical upgrades to airfield and infrastructure, greenhouse gas reduction initiatives, modernization of Terminals 1 and 3, and the creation of a world-class passenger experience.

JOB SUMMARY The Senior Project Manager for our Interim Infrastructure Sub-Program will oversee large-scale infrastructure revitalization and interior fit-out initiatives involving heavy coordination across structural modifications, detailed mechanical/electrical/plumbing (MEP) integrations, and advanced specialized equipment installations.

Reporting to the Sub-Program Director, the successful candidate will provide leadership across planning, design management, procurement, commercial management, stakeholder engagement, construction delivery, risk management, and program controls. This individual will operate with a high degree of autonomy and lead multidisciplinary teams consisting of Project Managers, Design Managers, consultants, subcontractors, and technical specialists.

The position requires a proven infrastructure leader with experience delivering large-scale capital programs in complex operational environments and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining safety, schedule, cost, quality, and stakeholder objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES Lead a portfolio of projects valued between $400M and $600M+. Manage and mentor Project Managers, Design Managers, Project Coordinators, and other technical specialists. Establish program governance, reporting, and escalation processes. Develop and execute project delivery strategies aligned with program objectives. Lead multidisciplinary design teams through planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Drive constructability reviews, value engineering, and scope optimization. Manage consultant performance and ensure alignment with schedule, budget, and technical requirements. Develop procurement and contract packaging strategies. Lead contractor engagement, bid evaluations, and award recommendations. Manage budgets, forecasting, change management, risk, and commercial performance. Direct delivery of complex infrastructure projects within active operational environments. Coordinate design, construction, logistics, and operational interfaces. Monitor performance and implement corrective actions where required. Act as the senior point of contact for key stakeholders. Lead presentations and reporting to executive leadership, steering committees, owners, and regulators. Manage relationships across airport operations, consultants, authorities, and delivery partners. Support with other duties as needed. WORKING CONDITIONS The position will be based at our office or site office in Mississauga, Ontario, with frequent visits to the Airport site as required. Your work schedule will be Monday to Friday during regular office or site hours. At times, operational needs may require work outside these hours, with reasonable notice provided. All schedule or on‑call adjustments will comply with applicable employment standards legislation. It is mandatory for all employees to complete a Criminal Background check and successfully attain a Restricted Access Identity Card (RAIC) and an Airside Vehicle Operator’s Permit (AVOP) upon joining the company.

DESIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical), Architecture, or a related technical discipline—or equivalent extensive field leadership experience. 15+ years of progressive experience in design and construction management of major airfield, transportation, or civil infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of building systems and infrastructure interfaces. Strong literacy in structural steel framing modifications, multi-level utility diversions, floor slab integrations, localized HVAC/fan coil installations, and automated material handling system tie-ins. Experience with Progressive Design-Build, Design-Build, Alliance, CM, EPC, or P3 delivery models. Strong commercial acumen including procurement, budgeting, forecasting, change management, and risk management. Experience managing Project Managers and multidisciplinary delivery teams. Proven experience leading both design consultants and construction contractors. Excellent coordination and communication skills across technical and field teams. Proficiency with project management tools, digital collaboration platforms, and document control systems. Commitment to safety, innovation, and continuous improvement within a multidisciplinary program environment. Valid driver’s license and eligibility for RAIC clearance and AVOP required.
