And this is where you come in… The role of the People Business Partner, is to build trusted relationships with leaders and employees at various levels of the organization. Through these relationships, the People Business Partner will provide advice to help the business achieve its goals. The People Business Partner is adept with change management, agility, and knows how to drive for results. This role is a full-time, on-site position based 5 days a week at our Downtown Vancouver studio. \n

In this role, you can expect to: Key Accountabilities Responsible for establishing a trusted partner and being the primary point of contact for stakeholder groups: Proactively partnering with key stakeholders to identify and support business needs and goals via agile, human-centered, data-driven, innovative approaches . Supporting people & talent acquisition team members to initiate, project-manage, and execute improvements to existing programs. Navigating with agility, curiosity, and openness in a fast-moving, creative and technical environment. Driving organizational change, to enhance culture; and, create a healthy team culture.

Provides expertise on Employee Relations matters: Acting as a trusted advisor on Canadian and U.S. employment law, attempts to resolve employee relations issues with a systemic approach. Supporting day-to-day employee relations and any acute escalations that may arise.

Leads People related projects: Supporting people & talent acquisition team members to create new programs and projects that are aligned with your stakeholders’ people and business roadmap. Building an understanding of project scope, resource availability, road mapping, and timely stakeholder/cross-functional departmental communication. Drive and support company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g. engagement survey, talent review, and organizational change).

Mentors and Coach: Providing mentorship, coaching, and guidance to team members and helping us build a learning culture. Providing mentorship, coaching, and guidance to leaders and helping us build leadership capabilities across the organization.

Internal Control Related Financial Reporting Responsibilities: Approve referral bonus in Dayforce against supporting document.

To be successful in this role, your background includes: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Industrial relations, commerce or psychology or completion of a professional development program in personnel administration is usually required. PHR/SPHR/CPHR Certification or other industry credentials are preferred. 5+ years of Human Resources (HR) experience in a project-based, creative culture. 2+ years of People Business Partnership experience. Experience in building trusting relationships with stakeholders and leaders. Ability to partner strategically with department leaders to drive business strategy and operational goals. Experience in change management. Clear, concise, professional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with employees at all levels. Must have strong knowledge of Canadian employment law. Additional knowledge of U.S employment law is an asset.

The salary will be determined based on your knowledge, skills and competencies, and you’ll have room to grow after you join!
